I have a AMS 700 that last me 3 years and 2 months everything was fine until one of my cylinders end up rupturing ! On 11/18 I have a revision done here in Central Florida, my surgeon discussed with me and we end up choosing a COLOPLAST Titan with the original genesis pump, I prefer the Titan !!!! Much better rigidity and caliber ! Five is going by I don’t use that much, but when I need is definitely Johnny in the spot ! Very satisfied ! Fingers crossed 🤞 ! Tku Dr Perito !!!

just get a malleable dude, these inflatables are a money making machine for surgeons and the manufacturers, they fail often and dont last as long
@DrPaulPerito

The failure rate for inflatable prostheses are roughly 1% per year if placed by an experienced, dedicated implanter.

Follow up with a board-certified dedicated penile implant surgeon.

@@DrPaulPerito Is there a study that proves this? What is the failure rate for the malleables, without the mechanical parts, is probably 0.5% if not lower.

This is next to impossible, if you let the doctors and implant companies tell it. Can the people in these comments really be the 1%, where everyone else that gets one uses them happily and successfully for 5-10 years? I’m having second thoughts. It doesn’t make sense for the devices to fail so quickly for mechanical reasons. Are they really made of $1 cheap plastic that we pay $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 to have surgically installed? All the time, money, and effort to have cheap plastic sitting inside of us that just breaks so easily? Jeez, this comments section is terrifying.

My first (AMS 700) implant failed when the tubing broke apart at the reservoir. Bad placement? The second (AMS 700) was a failure of the pump itself. I now have a third (Coloplast Titan) all within 2 years. All this at the prestigious Lahey Clinic Dept of Urology. I believe what you're saying here Dr Perito but do I just have astronomically bad luck then?
@DrPaulPerito

Bad luck and some inferior implants. You should have a better experience with the Coloplast Titan.

I am going on 6 weeks post op with Titan One Touch. Deflation has never been complete to a flaccid state. Can the release valve go bad and if so, can it be replaced surgically?

Check with your surgical provider or look for a dedicated implanter to evaluate it.

My first implant was a total fail. I stayed swollen and bruised for 5 months,had to endure a 2nd replacement, worse year of my life..my penis looked like it went 10 rounds with Mike Tyson 😢 it was horrible 😢

It's extremely important to see a dedicated implanter for your procedure... your health (and your penis) depend on being treated by an expert. As far as travel is concerned, a few days of treatment in the right hands can make a huge difference for the rest of your life.

except every revision you will have to pay if insurance wont cover, thats good for surgeons and the companies, not for the little guy trying to get his sex life back, from a financial perspective, the malleable makes more sense, not everyone qualifies for medicare yet and not everyone has amazing insurance where everything will be covered, considering the surgery costs 25-30k in the USA

Many surgical providers, Perito Urology included, offer payment plans.

I’m starting to think this is all one big racket. The statistics are a lie. People on forums and reddit are just implant company reps. Wow, what a sad world we live in. Like I said in another comment, it’s probably $1 worth of cheap plastic, something a 14-year old kid could make with their 3D printer, that they charge us tens of thousands of dollars to install, only to have them break so easily. It’s just like the many chronic illnesses that drug, insurance, and medical research communities don’t truly want to cure, because sick people are worth more money. Our broken sex organs are the same. Pills, injections, constant urology visits, stupid lies of surgeries just like this. They probably can’t even give a good reason as to why these devices fail. The truth is that they’re probably cheap junk, a faulty science, and that the statistics are heavily skewed in their favor. I bet there are tons of guys out there that just don’t get online and tell their horror stories.

I hear about the Rigicon 10 (a third opion). I have had 3 Coloplast failure and now my AMS 700 has failed after 8 months. Any input or advice please!!!! Bill

get the malleable and live with it, at least the chances of failing are very low due to no mechanical parts, it could literally last forever

With multiple revisions does the penis become shorter and shorter.I have no problem with revision but I am worried with risk of infection and shortening of penile length.Is this true?
@DrPaulPerito
@DrPaulPerito 5 месяцев назад
There is an increased risk of infection in revision surgery, so it's important to go to a dedicated center that has ample revision experience. Penile atrophy and multiple revision surgeries can decrease the size of a man's penis; with proper rehabilitation following surgery, that loss can be minimal.

Imagine there’s a study that shows that Like Bryan is the greatest country artist ever…then you realize that the study was conducted by Luke Bryan And…you’ve seen Luke Bryan and know plenty of others who’ve seen Luke Bryan

@@craigemmert719 thats why these inflatables are pushed by surgeons and companies, a big money making machine, revisions is always guaranteed, this surgeries are very expensive 25-30k, the USA is the ONLY country where inflatables are pushed like this, the rest of the world the implant of choice is the malleable
@DrPaulPerito

The surgeries are often covered by insurance plans, and the failure rate is roughly 1% per year... that's a lot higher than a 0% chance!

@@craigemmert719 and yet the internet is full of people having multiple failures with the inflatables. I've read of guys who've had 4 and even 5 revisions, now they want the malleable.
