😂😂 first thing I thought of too!!! I was like ok where in Brooklyn is this being filmed, and which family are they from lol, I was born raised and lived 50 years on Long Island and worked as a paramedic for 24 years in the NYC system and have had experiences with real mobsters during that career, and this bought me right back to a couple of memories dealing with actual made members of La Cosa Nostra 😂😂
Appreciate the amount of time and effort that went into something like this…SERIOUSLY. When I heard about the hype and praise of the PLx I was like c’mon…but to directly compare it side by side with the heavy hitters and it made everyone’s top 3 and than some…damn. Hard NOT to go with it over the ATACR cost considered…appreciate the content. Keep it coming!
Yeah. It was a pleasant surprise for sure. I don’t hate primary’s cheap offerings, as long as you know what you’re buying. But this compact plx, punches above it’s weight in my opinion.
@@midtiersnobs it's one thing to punch above your weight...but to punch AT Nightforce, Vortex Razor line? That's not a lucky punch...that's a warning shot. I agree with your guys changes. IF Primary Arms LISTENED to their customer base and offered a version with just a really solid Mil Dot reticle setup with a Christmas tree and a daylight bright reticle (yes, make it cost more) I think it would turn the LPVO market upside down....DMITRI give the people what they want!!! Vortex and Nightforce offer daylight bright mil dot reticles with Christmas trees. Give the people what they want but at PA pricing...the game would be OVER.

Thank you very much guys!!! Enjoyed this series a lot. Before even watching and now a subscriber, I had already determined what scope I wanted. The final thots here, just confirmed most things I thought through as well. Look forward to watching your channel and thanks again!!
Great video. This campfire discussion is perfect for this type of comparison. A bunch of shooters giving honest opinions on the same products. One take? Good work.
@@midtiersnobs Just bought the ATACR 1-8. I wasnt kidding when I said I was planning on getting one and having that plan confirmed thanks to your videos. Keep up the good work gents. This is the type of content that weve been needing
@@readyup1809 the compact 1-8? I was actually debating on that vs the 1-6 razor. Do you like the 1x more on the PA? Looking for something with low distortion and the one closest to true 1x
@@stankysweg yes the compact 1-8. The image appeared flatter than the razor side by side. The PA is also lighter than the Razor. Extra 2 magnification. The only thing the razor has is the bright illumination. But the PA is usable in day time and plenty bright in low light usage. Also the PA has a auto shutoff/ motion activation which is a huge advantage over the razor.
We actually did them. But they all passed just fine. Should of mentioned it in the videos, kind of slipped under the radar once we didn’t have much to talk about on them. “This one tracked perfectly”. 14 times haha.
Kinda surprised the channel hasn’t taken off in views or subscriptions, maybe a RU-vid short. I have looked back on the video series multiple times in looking at optics, but haven’t bought anything. At the moment interested in the VCOG and ACOG for waterproof level and reliability. LVPO and rifle scopes have similar structure flaws and waterproof rating.
Agreed about the NF NX8 but, and here’s the big butt, specify that hate to the 1-8, I have the 2.5-20 with the Mil C reticle on top of my M5 .308 and I can’t praise it enough, best glass I’ve ever been behind, granted I don’t have a lot of experience with high end or higher end might be more appropriate, the glass is exceptionally clear throughout the magnification range, has a good eye box, the turrets are great with both tactile and audio you both feel and hear each click, the zero stop is great, you can dial in whatever you need to and quickly return to zero, the illumination is day light bright, and much more but I can understand the hate of the 1-8 but specify it’s not all NX8 scopes, it’s my most expensive scope I’ve bought coming in just under $2k, and thank you for your opinions on the scopes you tested, I’m building currently a DMR style rifle and I’ve been trying to justify dropping the $3k on an ATACR after taxes and shipping, your reviews sealed the deal for me, it’s gonna be months before I get it as I’m not exactly wealthy especially with the highest inflation in decades thanks to O’Bidenomics which I won’t delve into as I could write pages about that clown show in charge but this ain’t the time or place, anyways thank you for the raw honest reviews, keep the vids coming!
Dig the video boys! Really wish y’all added in the trijicon sco, that optic looks amazing. I had 2k to spend earlier on this year and I was about to purchase an sco, then I got bit by the mpvo bug and got an nx8 2.5-20. She heavy and I have buyers remorse until I get to the range and then I love it so much lol. Think once I add an AimPoint duty to the offset mount on my badger c1 it will change the game for me. I really dig the ability to go to higher magnification and with an 11 yard parallax minimum it’s also nice to be able to use at close ranges as well
I don't understand your praise for the patrol 6's reticle at all. It's literally just a duplex. At that point why not just use a dot with a magnifier? Seriously how hard would it have been to add some kinda windage and elevation marks?
We liked the firedot as we regularly shoot 2 gun stuff. The duplex reticle is simple, we mentioned it was fast, that’s why it got the praise it did. I guess you’re asking about the vcog in relation to your windage marks comment? Honestly, because it’s an 1800 dollar scope and the only one of the bunch with zero marks.
Well like I said in the video one of the main points IS the duplex etching. From doing the low and high ready drills we did and looking at the times....yes the etching made it very easy to keep a line on target and shoot with the flash of red. After shooting a ton of years with a dot, going from that to the patrol it's a very easy learning curve. Other lvpos like we had stated have very strict eye boxes. The patrol didn't. The bright dot that's big but not too big (maybe 3moa at best) is a good 2-3 g&n optic. Is it a DMR optic, no. Is a duty optic, no. Is it a 2-3 gun optic yes. If you're looking for those qualities (dmr/duty) you're better off in the end with a 1-8 that's when you can start filling those roles.
@Mid Tier Snobs I could have worded that better. I wasn't referring to the vcog but saying that it wouldn't have been hard to add more information to the patrol's reticle without sacrificing speed up close. Think the razor 1-6 or vudu 1-8s reticle. I think a lot more people would buy it if it had some kind of bdc built in but that's just me. To each their own.
@@joshb5719 gothca. I agree. That said, the tmr or cmr (I believe) was it is available in this scope as well. This being my personal scope, I wanted the fire dot, because it’s daylight bright and the other reticle was listed as not being from leupold.
I was thinking about giving the k18i a try when I offload my gen 2 razor but after seeing it get no love here it looks like I'll just go with another atacr
Oh it got love and is a fantastic optic. The reticle we had in particular was it’s downfall. Don’t choose a 3GR and you should be golden. Best FOV at 1x. Best glass. ATACR is a great option though also. Really depends on duty vs competition.
