Learning and becoming proficient in holding pads is much like the art of Muay Thai itself: It requires practice and patience.
In this video we cover a few things that will get you started on the path of becoming a decent pad holder.
We cover not only proper holding methods, but also verbal and non verbal communications, what it means to be a good pad holder, some examples of pad holding, as well as a very basic boxing sequence that will act as the foundation to the later released Thai Pad video.
The idea behind pad holding is to keep it simple, and do each technique/combination a few times before moving forward.
And for reference, here is the boxing combination sequence we cover:
Jab.
Jab+Cross
Jab+Cross+Hook
Jab+Cross+Hook+Cross
