You used the same towel on the chain, discs, and paint work. so many reasons not to do this, chain oil residue transferring onto the discs and brake dust etching into the paintwork from the braking components.

I’ve used muc-off ever since I started riding which is a massive 8 months now and loving it. I use the nono pink one and the one for matt paint. Amazing stuff. I’m really nerdy about cleaning my bike and clean it after every ride. Either as a full wash or just a waterless wipe down. Always looks mint.

Just a note (as it can be a safety issue): do not use the same rug you used to clean your chain on your brake discs. It's not clear in the video if we did or not but if this video is targeting riders without much experience they might assume it is ok to do so.

Wouldn't mate. You can not polish matt paint finish. Better to do full correct wash. U do not want to cause any swirl or scratches. 👌

Would not use waterless anything you drag dirt grit dead bugs over your paintwork you'll just get swirling wash it properly.

Thanks alot! I trust you when you are using a Rolex Daytona when spraying your bike with the products with the watch still on your wrist... I would not do that with my Rolex on :)

Why are you not making the bike wet? There’s now a chance that you scratch the bike from sand and dirt. And never use the same towel The products are excellent

Searched for the Fortnine video review, as I completely trust that dude, but I didn’t come up with it. If it’s easy could you kindly drop a link? Though I’ve pretty much decided against it, because I’ve come across other reviewers with bad experiences, like this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7zb2H7E_Wb8.html - she responds to the comments and it seems that it’s just too harsh for finishes, spark plug covers, cables, decals, etc., not to mention skin

For the chain, use kerosene in a spray bottle and save yourself a bunch of money. Only thing is, you want to put a piece of cardboard behind the chain as you spray the kerosene, as it'll create a mess.

Not sure if it's the same thing but I use parafin for the chain, does a great job and yes it saves a ton of money!

Kerosene cleans up the chain alright, but it also eats the o/x/z/whatever-rings in it and lets the factory grease out, turning your expensive chain into the shit people had in the 90's, and unless you lubricate it constantly lowering its lifespan to a couple thousand miles. It's better to not clean it at all than to clean it with kerosene(or stuff that has kerosene in it, like WD40).

Sadly in 2023, a jug of kerosene is almost as much as Muc Off drivetrain cleaner. Also does Kerosene ever stink! Muc Off is Asthma friendly lol.

@@2strokedesignerr you might be wrong there my friend, I'm certainly I saw a video a guy doing exactly that sort of test for O-rings ect and WD40 even putting it in a jar and letting the rings sit in it for hours, with no noticeable impact on the X and O ring seals 😊

Waterless wash... also known to those in the know as exfoliation. You need to apply common sense and logic to matters... if you do not remove surface contaminants made up predominantly of dust, grit and general road grim, with water and something like snow foam to help lift it from the surface in the first instance... you will collect them in your cloth and be rubbing them into your precious paintwork... which will lead to at best, swirls in your paint and at worst deep scratches. Sometimes the wheel just doesn’t need reinventing. No offence intended... I love you guys and buy from you often... but waterless washing isn’t a good idea 👍

2020 now, plenty of great waterless products to use on light grime without scratching. I've got a matte black paint and used waterless washes plenty of times without any damage at all. Obviously if its lots of dirt you need water. Just make sure to have a couple of towels and shift side after a dirty panel. I always start uptop so the tank paint doesn't get scratched.
