Emo is a type of music, it doesn't stand for emotional it stands for emocore. To say flyleaf isn't emo because they "sing of fixing their problems" is ridiculous. It's not the lyrics, its the type of music. kthxbai
Yes, that does make them an amazing band, I agree. I, personally, don't believe in God and I wouldn't like Flyleaf as much if all their lyrics were just saying about how great God is. They make great music. :)
I can't remember exactly what I said but I remember saying something about that. Yeah, I agree. Skillet are quite a good Christian band, too. But Flyleaf are much better. :)

i don't think that flyleaf is emo at all. they are alt christian rock/metal. but i think that their music can help a lot of people who are known as "emo" (steriotype) the music is very inspirational
No, not really. A Christian band is defined as a band that sings in the name of Christ, not a band that consists of Christians. Flyleaf, as far as I know, doesn't sing about Christ.
@awesomepossum890 He did make the earth the way it is and it was good but he made it to work the way it does. Tides come in and weather changes because he created an intricate system to make it work. The study of that intricate system is called science...which we can only use because he blessed us with knowlegde and free will. I'm not saying that we will ever understand god, but he gave us the tools to grow
@Skooched many scientists that believe in eveloution say that the chances for everything to line up and accidently begin the whole thing with outdivine entervention is astronomical. I dont know for a 100% fact what happened because I was not there. But persionaly i would rather to believe in God then believe in nothing. u my friend can believe anyway u want. I wont judge u for that. but dont judge me becausre i would rather er on the side of faith than the side of nothing.
@TinaTiny24 exactly, i dont believe in jesus and i doubt i ever will, i do think that his existance is plausible but plausible things are open to debate and debates on this subject, especially in our world, will most likely end in another war just like the most debates on religion have done in the past. so no offence jen but i wouldnt try to convert anyone, unless you like the idea of world war 3 of course...
@passerby16 well Christisan music isnt always just made for Christians its used to raise peoples hopes regardless of peoples religions. In fact most Christian faith says it doesnt matter if youre Christian or not as long as you believe in God. I like Flyleaf but the fact that they try so hard to fight the label of a christian band really annoys me because thats obviously what they are even if they say theyre not cuz they want to look cool to more people

ohhh my gosh yes! i totally agree. literally every word from her mouth is an inspiration. shes such a beautiful person and her past shouldnt matter if people judge her for that. she has transformed completely but she embraces her tough past and she uses it as an example for others who may be in situations like that and i just think she is the most amazing person. oh my gooodness. lovee all around
I totally agree with u man, i hate music that is all like "All glory blah blah blah". it bugs. music is about expressing urself and portraying ur thoughts and ideas and emotions. sure religous music is portraying all that, but its not original in any way, all of that kind of music is the same thing over and over, its so freakin boring to hear. Flyleaf is the only Christian band that i can enjoy and get lost in. Flyleaf is AWESOME!!!

half of those aren't really christian bands and are not label'd as such. Flyleaf isn't label'd christian either and prefer it that way just b/c all the band members are christian doesn't mean they are a christian band. Anberlin is far to pervy(imo) to be christian. As I lay dying is closer to screamo than christian...
Actually Lacey is singing about God in this song. She is saying that God pointed out how selfish it would be to kill herself and since God pointed that out to her, she was convicted. She says because of that she doesn't want to be a liar or selfish anymore, just wants to learn God's love more everyday. Check out the lyrics...
You're right girl. Flyleaf is music, that make sense and it's just the truth. You often see bands, that are senseless, just like 'Schnuffel' a stupid bunny from Germany; it's the 1!! Sometimes, I wonder, if theres anywhere good music... (I'm sorry of my bad English, but I'm from Germany xD)
yeah, but its not fact, seeing how you speak of stereotypes, which are opinions so your comment means nothing. Flyleaf are an alternative band, they're soft metal. and its not the content which makes music a genre such as "emo", it's style in which it's preformed.

@JeniferKaiba That's extremely hypocritical for a christian to say. Don't make a person feel bad because they don't believe in Jesus. I personally believe in Jesus, but if someone else doesn't i'm not going to treat them any differently.

I really love this song. i love Flyleaf. Their music has really powerful messages. On a less serious note, I love Lacey's clothes. I'd love to have some of those dresses. lol
if ya don't believe me look at their wiki pages... clearly says that the people in the band are all christian but that doesn't rly make the band and their music christian
