I was so excited I didn’t give him a chance to speak. I got a lift to old Trafford one game with another mate who used to know him. We used to get into the players lounge with him after the games.
Of all the great times we have been fortunate to live through....This fella, FRANK STAPLETON scoring in the 89th minute versus Everton,,,,,who battered us to be fair, remains the greatest memory ever,..bbc Radio 2 ...me, my dad and uncle , jumping around ....my uncle threw me up in the air and my head smashed the ceiling........Old Trafford absolutely exploded....criminally underrated player....He was on his way to Anfield to have talks the day united signed him...Big Ron locked him in a hotel room.🤣🤣
