glad i took a look at the rest of your stuff because you can tell you are passionate..your page is actually just informative with different little bits of information as well.... sometimes many folks put to many facts out there and not enough preference related information... you have a nice blend of it all so again thanks for the information and keep them coming
I’m glad a RU-vidr is honest about the drone because it drones alot but it sounds good flooring it and having it as a daily and cruising you’ll hate it
I have to agree. It's pretty bad. I just don't want anyone else thinking they might be exempt from the drone if they remove their mufflers because the truth it, those mufflers are the only thing keeping the drone away on this car. Stay tuned and you'll see how I remedied the drone!
@@Tasteofjamaica3 thanks. Then i wont delete anything. Better feel good in car. If i want more agressesive sound maybe its better to add sport mufflers? Then i wont get drone but better sound?
That's great! I've heard some resonators really do help eliminate drone - I've just been through too many setups to even be bothered trying any of them. Glad you've got yours figured out!
Sounds fantastic. I'd like to hear the level of drone. Have you considered a straight through muffler in place of the resonator? Might help a little without drastically effecting sound
Thank you! It does sound amazing, but the drone just levels the playing field. It's pretty bad. Really bad, actually, in my opinion. Maybe some people don't mind it! I have, actually. Maybe for my next setup, if it isn't a full system, I'll go with some straight-through mufflers.
Thank you! I actually just can't, it's pretty unbearable. It shakes the whole car; you'll see what I did to fix this in a few videos. Stay tuned for that!
Nope, I haven't. In Texas, at least, there's no noise limits or laws regarding how loud a car can be. I'm not sure about other states or other countries, so check your local laws beforehand. But, as for me, I haven't even gotten a bad look from a cop.
Well, in this video I was just doing what's called "brake boosting", which is kinda like knock-off launch control, but since this video, I've actually coded my car to have proper laumch control using BimmerCode, so now I have the real launch control. Since you have an LCI, I believe if you put your car into sport+ and move the transmission into sport mode, floor the brake, then the gas, then you can activate launch control. I'd recommend looking for a video explaining it better on RU-vid!
Hey I have the same car with a muffler delete but I kept the resonator on. Is there a noticeable difference in exterior sound when removing the resonator?
That's great to hear! Nice to meet another F10 owner. You know, I'm not too sure. I've never had that exact setup (just the OEM mufflers), so I can't say for sure. I would assume the main difference could be the drone, although that's dependent upon whether or not you have the factory downpipe, I think. Again, not too sure! Sorry if this wasn't the answer you were looking for, only giving you my first-hand experience!
@@MotoRevs Lol likewise. I get what your saying. It’s strange because in all the videos I’ve seen there doesn’t seem to be a huge difference in sound but nonetheless I was still curious. I assumed it would’ve only increased the drone so I decided on keeping it. Thank you for the quick reply my friend good luck on future mods bro! I’ll be sure to watch your content and shoot any questions if I ever decide to go crazy on mods.
Exactly as I think. Although, there's still a bit of drone even with the resonator. Nothing too bad, though! Thanks for the comment! I'm glad I could be of help. Thanks for watching!
@@MotoRevsHey man, I recently took out the resonator and let me tell you I am very satisfied with the results! Personally for me I didn’t experience a big change in drone and I could live with it but the main difference is idle sound seems to be a lot more refined and overall a bit louder. Also the afterfires or burbles are alot more aggressive and louder than before and when you step on the gas it definitively roars a lot louder. I gotta say I would definitely recommend a res delete for any other 535i f10 owners combined with the muffler delete.
In this exact setup, I cut off the main (and only) resonator, as well as both mufflers in the rear. Basically, the only thing left stock was the factory downpipe with the catalytic converter.
