I love the story that the flight attendant told about Ali. She said she stopped by his seat and told him to fasten his seatbelt. He looked at her and said I'm Superman I dont need no seatbelt. She said if you were Superman you wouldn't need this plane. Ali laughed out loud and said well played young lady and put his seatbelt on.
@@anthonycraig2079 what if the flight attendant was the same as Ali. It is possible. Anyway, Ali was only cracking jokes, and the lady was only setting the record straight.
@@jb7753 It's because he layers his arrogance with humour and sarcasm and irony. Most of the time it's difficult to tell if he is being serious. He was a joker who loved to make people laugh and he knew exactly how to act and what to say to make people laugh. Such a legend
Charismatic yet shy, arrogant yet humble, strong yet tender, mischievous yet respectful, eloquent yet thoughtful, funny yet serious etc etc truly the greatest boxer who ever graced the ring and one of the most remarkable human beings to have ever walked the earth. His genius never fails to amaze me until this day.
Ali was a sucker for hooks 3 times down from them because he dropped his right hand Tyson won't say it out of love for him. Reality Tyson would of crushed him with the hook
@@donaldoneill2117 Tyson was smaller and Ali was bigger and much faster. Tyson always had problems with taller, stronger and SKILLED big guys. Lewis, Ruddick, Holyfield...
U got no credentials. I would bang u out if u come to mass. Live in Franklin cops know me for breaking jaws still still at 64. Get a hold of me mister stay on your site but know nothing but I got real balls
I once had occasion to see Muhammed Ali in person. He spoke to a crowd at a shopping center. I was very much surprised. He was very serious, nothing like the comedian we were used to seeing on TV. He spoke about serious issues and answered serious questions from whites and blacks alike, especially kids. He was a real gentleman. I will never forget one of his comments. He told the crowd "Understand something: boxing is my career. It is not my life." I was greatly impressed.
Da was Howard Cosell , not just any Reporter dumbdumb , u must recognize him by his name , he s just too famous 2 b called a reporter , dis way u did 😺 he s Ali best pal u know
8:37 i like how Ali speaks up for his competitors. He's absolutely right, out of (then) 4 billion people, being the 4th best in the world isn't nothing
@@eliaskjrbo8142 Is that your only contribution Mr Statistics. We are talking about one of the most famous people on the planet and you come up with that. Get a life or a wife. I bet she left years ago…..!
By his own example he instilled hope in millions of young athletes all over the world to achieve their own greatness. By giving up his title and refusing to join the military, he raised the consciousness of the world. He was a master in the ring, and was a great entertainer as well. As one of the most beloved and popular men of the 20th century, he brought important issues into light with his profound wit and common sense. I was born in 1951, and witnessed his greatness from the day he won gold at Olympics to the day he lit the flame. His inspiration was felt by many, and his greatness lives on in them. To me, this is an understatement, and not an exageration.
Few have ever reached the level of talent, excellence longevity, notoriety and global fame and influence as Ali. Michael Jackson is the only other name that parallels it in the modern era.

If you know and love him enough, you wouldn't want that. He was a man of his religion and Statues are considered Haraam in Islam. He lives in our hearts anyways we don't need no statue ❤
They come around all the time boxing and MMA are full of them the difference with Ali is that he could back it up and also wasn't just cocky, he was witty said the funniest things at just the right times
Doesn't matter how stressful my day can be, when I watch old footage of Ali I just start smiling, This man was unreal on camera and in the ring, and there will never be another. R.i.p king Ali !
@MUFC yes I know where you are coming from. But when i talk to the nirth Americans I refer to "soccer" as football and let the figure it out. They should call that sport as American rugby cuz that's what it is

@@MrSaklar I can't tell what's worst, the fact you can't tell he's talking about Muhammad Ali, the man you watching in this very video. @Thalassa Oceanphrite sorry maybe this is about religion, this is because wudhu, Most Muslim boxers or fighters do not get hurt when boxing, the worst maybe it is blisters on the face, Stay tolerant bro
Love ali. Nobody will ever be like him. My favourite is mike tyson but as a cultural icon, wow. I hope jesus seen how good he was and took him to heaven.... no offense

One of a kind. An angel walked among us on earth. I met him. I spoke to him on the telephone. I stood beside him as he hit those punching bags. He was a perfect athlete. He was a beautiful and a kind man. My son was 4 years old when he boxed him and so my son's hands touched Ali's bandaged hands. Ali was not wearing his gloves and my son came out swinging. I'll never forget my son's little fists touching the backs of Ali's beautiful, bandaged hands. Yep. Heaven on earth.
As a British Boxing fan Ali was loved over here. White or Black he was a massive inspiration to British people of all creeds. RIP Champ, you were one of a kind.
Watching this video I can see that he was more than just a boxer, or a sportsman. He was a philosopher, an educator, a comedian, a poet, a musician, a politician a pioneer, an activist, he was very intelligent and quick witted. He took life for himself and did what he wanted with it, he did everything off his own back and stood by his convictions. He was brave, extremely likeable. He united people of all colours. He was an example to everybody on how to live your life. With no regrets.
I was in a bad mood... I watched Ali... I turned into a good mood... He's so special... Legend... Funny... Once you know him... You love him... Sometimes I think he's not a human... He's so unique...
Growing up in the 70's we all loved Ali. My Uncle one day walked the long driveway out to get the mail & who's jogging down the dirt road but Muhammad Ali. Which was not far from Don Kings training camp in Orwell Ohio. I believe my Uncle said he stopped for a minute & was very nice. How could you not love this guy.
Muhammad Ali was a comedian, a poet, and a boxer! That's an amazing combination! He's not only a sportsman; he's also an intellectual! No wonder many people adored him.
Mosa Abeidi not sure what you mean by can beat him yet.if you are talking about him as the amazing person he was I definitely agree but as of boxing he has lost.
im 62 yrs old He was my idol growing up and the only boxing or celebrity great that made me cry when he passed and cry now i miss him and my father and that generation god help us in our time of need
26:48 Ali: "let me tell you something boy!" Frazier: *gets up* "boy?!" Ali: "I said Roy!" and than that smile It's amazing how fast his brain was, how intelligent and witty he was. Truly the greatest there ever was!
I'm crying.. I wish I could meet him once in a lifetime at least.. Such an inspirational personality.. So cool so funny so confident so handsome so intelligent.. An ideal man!! Allah bless him.!
ali showing up to meet the little kids at school is so adorable 😭♥️ once in a lifetime experience for them, i smiled so much it hurt my face. what a wonderful funny & kind man
Thought the same as a 20 year old and having a daughter. He's got my respect. I always thought bad because of the draft dogging and having many many friends over seas serving but this guy is amazing
@@tdotmays2 : The right to a trial by a jury of one's peers when alleged to have committed a crime for starters. Sure, Black people have that right in writing, but George Floyd was deprived of it for no good reason. Not armed, not resisting, a danger to no one. Is dead, never had his day in court. Contrast that with Dylann Roof, who killed 9 people. Arrested, armed, but not resisting, a danger to anyone within range of the gun he had. He was taken for a meal at Burger King and was given a bullet-proof vest at one point. Is not dead, had his day in court.
LEGEND!!!!!! A black men at the time of slavery and a Muslim who refused to fight for american power greed, and he still won everyone's hearts. Allah bless him high ranks in Jennah Ameen
@@leanmeanmenace1744 My initial point was being a black muslim in a racist country like america is unimaginable. Your "corrections" show you know nothing about american history. Mohammed Ali biography mentioned how he was forced to sit in the "black sections" of buses and nonstop racial abuse. America was and will stay the stolen land of the natives. You should research on how 80 million innocent helpless natives were killed by columbus to make america. And that was just the start to record number of lives killed in wars and only country cruel enough to use nuclear powers on innocent living beings TWICE.
@@factspov6301 I hope you have read up on US history since this comment because slavery had been outlawed in the US 100 years before Ali even became a lightweight champion. This WAS the time of segregation and the Civil Rights era but slavery was over along with sharecropping. Black Lives Matter also isn't a native movement, it's a Black movement. A relatively new one at that, founded in 2013. Native Americans have had their own movements like the NARF and AIM.

I love how he talks about race. Seriously but also lightly and humorously. What he said America when answering the question he had was real but with no hate behind it. It was beautiful.
He changed the sport forever, not just because of this athleticism and technical ability, but because of his vocabulary and charisma. He changed the way athletes spoke in press conferences, he change the way people view the sport, he change the way that people behaved all round. That’s what was so incredible about him, it’s what he did to the entire sport, not just his career
