@@adeyemojulius2829Yes, he was beaten by Leon Spinks (the one who he was clowning in the video). They had a rematch after, in which Ali won. This was really close to the end of his career, as you can see his speech was getting significantly slower. He then fought Larry Holmes, and was beaten in one of the most one-sided fights of his career. By that time, he was way too sick to fight, and he should have never been in that ring. It's actually sad to watch.
Ali, while obviously not intimidating, he can intimidate any monsters right their hearts, knowing Ali won't just give up, Ali can backup being a great fighter
After all that ....Ali admitted later in life that the trash talking was all a show to sell tickets. He even admitted that he wasn't the greatest. It was all about showmanship. It was brilliant showmanship though that worked.

There’s such an immense amount of talent with Ali. Clay could move like a dancer while having an incredible killer instinct and could write you a poem of how he’s about to open up a can of whoopass and follow through. Ali hurt a lot of people, nit only with his fists , but with his words. Especially Joe Frazier, George Foreman and Sonny Liston. But Karma has shut him up by shutting his big mouth in the second half of his life.
I love Ali but he is the reason I was scared to box professionally. Watching his cognitive decline. He was once a genius wordsmith, to barely able to speak.so sad.
Ali talked about how he would dance around Foreman, instead he cheated and laid on ropes that were so loose that if you loosened just a bit more Ali would have needed a ticket to stay in the arena.
