Good to see a little of this fight. Remember reading almost 60 years ago, that Jones gave Clay some trouble. He did, but clearly Ali was the winner. In the next 12 months, he became even a better/greater boxer.
I remember this fight and I know that as a teenaged fight fan I scored this fight for Jones, because I hated Cassius Clay (I loved Liston.). Now, as a 72 year old I have changed. Hated Clay, Love, absolutely love Muhammad Ali. Wish I could watch this whole fight so I could score it again and really try to be fair.
@@eb5857 That's true, plus I seen SRR, as he was falling backwards, knockout a guy. Plus, Ali said that he was the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time, because of SRR.
When Ali survives Tyson opening round assault Ali would of taken Tyson into deep waters... I don’t think Tyson could match Ali’s heart.. Sure would’ve been one hell of a fight!
@@whayes8084 Tyson beat undefeated champion Tony Tucker who for sure would have gave many of the greats problems and I just said 'problems' hell he may have defeated some guys who are pushed on people's personal lists of top heavyweights He also beat Carl Williams who had 26 wins and 26 knockouts before Tyson knocked him out in 1 He defeated Razor Ruddock who was prized to be the future at the time and he's one of the top heaviest punchers of the 80s- early 90's He defeated Spinks who had never lost in 1 although Spinks did not want to fight Tyson beating Holmes although he had been inactive and was 17 years older was still an impressive victory considering Holmes barely lost decisions to win the heavyweight championship years after the Tyson fight I do say Ali would beat Tyson but it would not be easy for him, he would have to be in his best shape at 210 lbs but Ali is such a creative and intelligent fighter, he would devise his own unique game plan to defeat Tyson, he would emotionally bully Tyson to the point that Tyson would feel like he is 9 years old again, Tyson was a master of intimidation but Ali was too brave and confident for him. Ali fought a guy similar to Tyson in Joe Frazier but the only difference was Tyson being faster, stronger and more technical, Frazier had more heart and stamina. Ali defeats Tyson by decision
Luke Casey Walsh Because Tony Tucker is an all time great right? He isn’t even a great fighter from his era. Again Ali had one of the best defenses and was fast. He went up against big punchers like Foreman and Shavers. He won. What would Tyson bring to the table that they couldn’t?
@@whayes8084 Tyson is far more technical than them both and uses angles... We seen Ali struggle with Frazier but I believe pre exile Ali would have defeated Frazier the first time. Ali would lose the first 3 rounds and probably suffer a knock down I see Ali winning the rest of the fight though
Wtf...peoples don,t realize the true dimension of Ali. In and out, even a Feather Wright cannot dance like dis at 200 lbs +....enticipation, talent...this Man was unique ans Will never be another one like this even on 500 years from now.
Michael Triumph. Well........There not fuckin' irrelevant according to the rules of boxing, but if you want to make up your own rules then 'that's fine'
Wow. Two very good boxers in this one. I like how the announcer just announced it and got out of the way. They should try that now rather than make everything so dramatic. Let it be about the match.
Box müziği Muhammed aliye haz veriyordu..onun için güzel box yapıyordu... Bende müziği çok sevdim ,bende izlerken müzikten haz aldım ve izledim Işıklar içinde yat muhammet ali...🇹🇷❤️🥰💐
Muhammad Ali won 7 rounds out of 10 I scored it myself this morning I think its a misconception and hometown propaganda that speculated Jones should have won this I counted every punch and Ali threw so much more and landed more Jones had amazing defence in this fight though
The greatest man of all stings like a bee. Time to fill the ambassador of reggae. Ever ready. History is interesting. Now let's get this boxing match on with chains.
My dad was 22yrs old and my mom before they met she was 16yrs old and I didn't exist in 1963.There was no Mike Tyson 1966,No Evader Holyfield 1962 was just being born.
Indeed, Ali is an american icon and clearly one of the best that ever did it, but Doug Jones fought Ali in his prime and didn't get knocked out and he took it to Ali without hesitation... made Ali earn his money, title and icon status this night
Cut the stupid and useless would have crap. We wil never know and all where different times. They all where champs. Ali will always be the most iconic champ.
It would have been nice to see the whole fight with audio. it was not clear what was going on and which round the action was in. Jones fought a great fight, but based on this video, Ali clearly won the fight. Ali threw so many punches that he could barely raise his arms up after the fight.
Great bout but Cassius used the grab a grope so much when under pressure god know how many times it saved him and others and then rope a dope later in the program overall used all technical benefits combined with his ridiculous athleticism was to much mastery.
Never seen this footage but Jones certainly does have some aspects of Tyson in the ring. Ali did get troubled by this style of fighting of ducking and coming in low but his chin was something else and to that I therefore could not imagine Tyson beating Ali but only giving him 7 to 8 rounds of trouble then burning out as Ali could go toe to toe with anyone for 15 rounds
