Abraham did not want the spoils from an evil king from that war because he did not want to be seen as becoming wealthy from his corrupt wealth. although he won that war and was entitled to significant spoils. this is not a story mentioned frequently because it doesn't have much christological significance. but prophet abraham was a warrior, peace be upon him.

Just cause a council made those reforms doesn’t make it central dogma of the church It is subject to change. Besides the Catholic Church in the same council said that Protestants are our brothers and sisters in Christ. At least the Catholic Church made these declarations with the attempt to make peace but that doesn’t mean we can’t criticize each other’s beliefs.

The Qur’an demands that we fight the unbelievers, and promises “If there are twenty amongst you, you will vanquish two hundred: if a hundred, you will vanquish a thousand of them” (8:65). Allah and his messenger want us to fight the Christians and the Jews “until they pay the Jizya [a penalty tax for the non-Muslims living under Islamic rules] with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued” (9:29). He crucified, chopped hands, blinded people with hot irons, ordered to torture people with fire for money, ordered to execute people that made fun of him, let the Jewish tribe of Banu quariza to be mass executed. He looked like a character from game of thrones, like joeffry baratheon. The theory of just war is "fight the Jews and the Christian until they either convert or pay taxes; no undefined truce with pagans". Very just.

We don't close our eyes to that verse from the end of Matthew 10:34, anymore than we do to the whole of what Jesus said and did so as not to pervert what He's saying (i.e. the application of it). That verse is the first of three that sets the stage for the "divisions" (of heart and allegiance) that Jesus is talking about; and the proceeding three that come in verses 37-39 make it quite clear what he means. We must love Jesus (God) more than we love even those closest to us within our own families to truly be considered His disciples. For whoever loves his father, mother, son, or daughter more than Him is not worthy of Him (verse 37) and our love for Him is the sword that pierces our hearts to create such a division. It is not a literal sword swung to hurt, maim, or kill the bodies of those people or anyone, but rather it is the sword of Truth that pierces every aspect of our being to separate or "set apart" our love for Him when compared to others (who do not love Him the same). As for the Amalekites, they were pagan devil worshipers who had been defiling themselves and others in several ways for quite sometime and were not interested in repenting for their wicked lives, which included killing their own children. Their sin, which included their ongoing rebellion against God, was terrible and that is why the were finally ordered by God to be wiped out. Including their women and children, because there was no way that any of them would submit to living within the Israelite community and adhering to God's laws and customs for the people. All resident aliens living with the Israelites in the Old Testament had to agree to do that in order to live amongst them, for even if the Israelites refused to do so they would be cast out of the community so as not to corrupt the rest. Lastly, as for your statement about Mohammad not ordering the killing of women and children, please get serious. The Koran makes no such distinction when it says to put all infidels and "people of the book (Jews and Christians)" to death, unless of course you want to tax us for being spared or make slaves out of us. Yes, I've read it from cover-to-cover and it contains no concepts of forgiveness or mercy at all. It's all about forced conversion and subjugation. It starts out nicely enough and then quite rapidly declines into something quite terrible and horrifying. Not surprising though when it was written by a false prophet who made up the religion to likely bring status and recognition to his people and region since doing so without a religion was essentially unheard of at the time. In other words, if people and their related cultures wanted to be taken seriously back then they needed to attach themselves to a religion. However, rather than submit to one of the only two that are based on reality and truth, Judaism and Christianity, Mohamed borrowed and stole from them as best he could to try and substantiate a false religion and raise himself and the people of Islam up through the sword of death and destruction. It also doesn't help your argument one when there are still Muslims who immolate and murder their own children in other ways according to the Hadith. That religion will not save you, but Jesus Christ can and will if you let Him. @@georgeschannel9411 Reading is fundamental, so just tell them to read the books for themselves if they are motivated and disciplined enough to do it (instead of believing what other people say are in them). Since not working over the past few months I have re-read almost the entire old Testament and have taken summary notes on each book. Not quick and easy but always helpful and enlightening. The Koran is only about 600+ pages though and much shorter to read. Still a chore though, especially with how felonious and offensive it is at many points. God bless. In Christ, Andrew P.S. The same applies to the infidels that our prophet fought against, they worshipped idols, however our prophet did not kill their women and children or their animals and he specified this to his companions and ordered them to kill only the combatants according to hisauthentic sayings . What did the women and children do? Do you want to tell me that just because they were pagan it is fine to kill them? And you say Islam is violent! Islam is not only the Quran we have also the sayings of the prophet and they are authoritative to us if they are authentic, the verse that you refer to was reveled as a reply to the Christians that were ready to fight the prophet, so the context was a context of a defensive war, but you have not read the exegesis and relied upon islamophobes like David wood to tell you the meaning behind it, secondly the tax that you are complaining about is even less than the tax that ordinary Muslims pay for the Islamic government according to the exegesis, keep in mind that all of this is a reply to the Christians who started the war.
