​@Arshad Rana So in response to what I said you thought it would be a good idea to change the subject altogether and not address what I said at all, about Islam wanting to silence debate and/or destroy all detractors. In doing so, you have reinforced my point with your redirect and evasion. However, since you want to make statements against the Bible, I will honor the Lord as best I can by addressing your comments (unlike you did for me). 1) The Bible does not say that the Earth is nearly six thousand years old. It says that all of creation was made in six days and some Christians then say that since a day is like a thousand years to God then the Earth is six thousand years old. Right or wrong, that is an argument against evolution from goo to the zoo and me and you, as well as against us being made from pre-existing material and against the five assumptions radio-carbon dating is based on. The Bible is silent about the age of the Earth. 2&3) There are many commentaries dating back centuries about the night and day coming before the sun and the earth but biblically speaking, what makes the most sense is that the light is the light of God (Jesus Christ) through whom all things were made, see John 1, including the angels (and those who fell from grace) which can legitimately be referred to as light and dark. Regardless, it is no stretch at all to have light exist before the sun because whether or not the light was Christ, God can have light emitted any way He wants and is not restricted to stars or sun in doing so. 4) What's so tough about this? Unless you believe in evolution instead of creation. God makes plants and then provides their food source (for photosynthesis) the day after. Do you actually think that a newly formed plant would not survive for one day without the sun or that the light from your first question could not nourish them at all? The problem here is not with the Bible per se but rather with creation instead of evolution. Check out Genesis Apologetics for really good information about that. 5) Look into the Behemoth in the Old Testament and again check our Genesis Apologetics. There is strong physical (geological) evidence to support this - that what we now call dinosaurs existed at the same time humans did before the flood. 6) Cud-chewing completes the digestion of partially digested food which is why by our current standards of ruminant animals, like cows, they eat their food before bringing it back up from the gut to eat again. However, the rabbit does the same thing in a different way. The rabbit eats their first poop that contains the partially digested food that they could not fully digest the first time. So a rabbit does chew its cud, partially digested food, it just does it through poop instead of barf. Same idea altogether, but it doesn't fit precisely into our modern day definition of the practice by ruminants with multiple stomachs. 7) I have never heard of this argument about the 5,000 year old Chinese writings but after looking into it, it become quite clear very quickly that this has been very thoroughly debunked. Most of what I saw said about 3,500 years old. 8) The Old Testament required that slaves be treated just as well as any other Israelite, and I know that well because I just finished re-reading all of it since the lockdown. So you're claim to torture and murder is incorrect. There is a verse about the "possibility" of taking chattels though, which is disturbing, but it is not a commandment or requirement, which makes me highly question its validity as coming from the Lord instead of from Moses or someone else. Moses also allowed divorce even though God hates it and Jesus had to set that straight in the New Testament. That is why people must study the whole Bible and really seek to know, love, and serve God by not getting so easily sidetracked by certain verses. 9) No, the rapist is to be given the option to marry the daughter (and never divorce her or mistreat her again) lest he be put to death immediately or afterwards, and the woman end up being unmarriable and essentially alone with her parents before becoming a spinster forever. The rape would make her impure and ineligible for marriage in Israel at the time so even though the marriage option is strange and highly troubling to us, it's the only way to reasonably guarantee that the woman would be taken care of and not alone forever. 10) Yes, this, sadly, was also a possibility within the Israelite Community. I'm not going to go back and re-read those parts, but I do remember that it was pretty clear a parent might do that to avoid destitution for themselves and/or their daughter for a time. I say for a time because the Jubilee year that came every seven years required all slaves to be set free unless they didn't want to be. However, those slaves were entitled to the same treatment as anyone within the Israelite Community, meaning they could not be treated poorly. That may not seem like much to us now, but at the time it was often if not far better than slaves within other nations would receive. Is it a problem, yes, but it is not a commandment or a teaching in terms of being a mandate. It's a lamentable option from history that is no more, unless we point the finger at ourselves with our high debts and irresponsible spending today (which is akin to stealing for many of us). @Arshad Rana I'll tell you what, since you are not satisfied with the very detailed and honest answers I gave you (some of which even completely acknowledged what you said as true and lamentable) and yet still saw fit not to acknowledge that with any sort of kind and charitable spirit, because you haven't learned it from the Koran or from Jesus, then please direct me to your source point within the Koran for your freeing slaves comment and I will look it up in my copy and get back to you. This way I can be afforded the same courtesy that you are taking license of with the Bible. Making my own comments based on what I'm reading without being in love with the book or who's behind it at all. That's fair, so if you're up for it then so am i. Yes that would be quite interesting. The left would like david said get eaten alive quite literally. Not saying I condone violence but they are happily getting in bed with isis. So it's their fight. Hope they're ready for it because it's only a matter of time in my Opinion.
