A team of psychologists are behind the trailer. They fitted everything for maximum emotional impact. It’s actually genius. They’ve weaponized nostalgia.
I am a big black guy,,,and I don't know why I had to be cutting onions and using black peppers while watching this trailer,,,it was making my eyes fill up with water,,damn my Allergies lol.
2:15 Disney casted American born Chinese actors along side Mainland China actors, that's why the accents are inconsistent. Most likely to appease a large audience in the Chinese ticket buyers with local talent.
I'm glad this isn't a one to one remake of the animation but a little more like the original story of Hua Mulan. And look at the cast: Jet Li as the Emperor, beautiful Gong Li as the Witch, Donnie Yen as the Commander, Jason Scott Lee (who played Bruce Lee in "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story" in 1993) as Bori Khan, etc. A lot of martial art and Kung Fu movie legends. Heh, teary-eyed girls are so cute.
Yes, the accents is not consistent. The actress of Mulan was born in China mainland and moved to the US at age 10. Other casts are from Hongkong, their accents are more close to British. And some dubbed English are more American. I agree they should somehow to make the accents more uniformed, thus the audiences will be more involved into the great story.
What makes me emotional about the story of Mulan is that her goal is to protect her family (not to win a prince.) When the animated movie first came out, my sons were young and I was proud to show them this side of a female protagonist.
i haven't seen any of the disney live-actions, and also haven't seen any disney film since i've stopped being a kid (and also haven't seen mulan) - but i'mTOTALLY going to see this movie. it looks amazing.
Klayhamn wow great that you’re watching it but a real question WHAT CHILDHOOD DID YOU HAVE? At least in my country I think everyone has watched at least one disney movie... sorry was just curious
@@stanleyho8009 I watched a lot of Disney movies, what I didn't watch is any of the live action movies It has nothing to do with childhood since all the live action versions are very recent
Klayhamn oh no sorry I think I misunderstood you I was only talking about Disney animated movie and thought you said you didn’t watch any Disney movie but you watched the animated one so sorry I thought you meant something else
Regarding the accents, we have Chinese descend actors of all different backgrounds. Asian American actors, actors who grew up in a western country, actors who learned English as a second language fluently or those who is literally from China with a Chinese accent. That’s why it’s inconsistent. Liu YiFei is probably the one with the heaviest accent seeing that English isn’t her most fluent language even though she’s able to speak it.
Can you react to Sohyang from Korea? Her songs will affect you emotionally. She is legendary. She has Eng cover songs like Bridge Over Trouble Water, You Raise Me Up (2018), Lean on Me, I Have Nothing or O Holy Night (best version ever).
