Nice set up, I'm the same way with my land clearing business, if I tell a customer I can do something and even if I have to eat more time on the job to make it happen, I rather eat the time and lose a little money than leave with a bad reputation, it will always pay off in the long run, Keep up the good work, May God Bless your business
The customer should understand, and you're a great guy for admitting your limits, and not charging for what you can't do. Honestly some of those trunks and stumps you really needa dedicated unit to take care of like a Prinoth Raptor 500. There's just limits to what even a high powered skid steer can handle and some of those stumps were huge. About the only thing you could've done is dig a deep hole and buried them. Sorry this didn't work out as originally planned, but you did the right thing and that's something to be proud of.
man that s bullshit . not able to hear the mulching , doing it fast forward THAT IS NOT WHAT PEOPLE WANTS . what we want is TO HEAR THE SOUND OF the mulching played in 2x speed SO PLEASE NEXT TIME DO THAT PLEASE
I would recommend a dedicated machine for mulching, but the JCB ticks all the boxes for me at this time. I work as an elementary asst. principal during the week, then work in the summers and on the weekends mulching. It’s a side hustle at the moment, but if I push I could stay right busy in my area.
Excellent video. I’m seriously considering buying a JCB 270T with high flow and a mulcher and grapple. Curious, what is your hourly charge for man and machine? $150 or so? I’m trying to figure out what to expect. Thanks!
I charge $200hr here. That’s the going rate or a little under in my area. I would suggest maybe a 330T or a machine with higher HP. It’s on the weak end when I’m cutting compared to other machines. But I still love it.
