This series has been most informative and interesting. It's nice to see behind the scenes and the people that contribute to making one of the best luxury vehicles on earth. Really quite an amazing process. It's not all sideways action and loud screaming exhaust.

My heart jumped up in my throat at 03:30. That car is a thing of beauty. They all are really, but that particular deep black, with the blacked out windows, and chrome in all the right places... wow.

So basically they check it, check it again, check it a third, fourth, and fifth time, and then sell the car. I normally enjoy these Bentley videos but this one was boring as all get out.

This is INSIDE BENTLEY. This is nothing about being fun, interesting, boring or noisy. It's about how they make Bentleys. If you don't understand this, you are missing the point of those videos.

hey its boring process.. but im boring and i love processes so I enjoyed it very much, especially as its real people talking about it not some slick 100kpa smooth talking exec who spends less than 1% of his career on the factory floor. Also the slow pace of editing and hd finally came together and the cars looked great! Was a hard call for the interviewer as it was ultimately a simple but laborious subject, so he just let the lassie speak, nothing wrong with that.

This should be very informative about why quality cost. Some people always go on about why their car is better because it has the same performance as another car costing 2 or 3 times as much. Maybe they now know why. The answer is quality always cost extra.

Instead of criticizing the series, be sure to know that if: 1) your numbers come up on a lottery 2) you inheret vast sums if money (can you really appreciate quality without putting in the effort to pay for it?) 3) you build your business and reap the rewards 4) or become a home horticultualist ....you will know that YOUR Bentley will be amazing when it turns up. Boring? I say you are boring if you can't appreciate quality content.

"It takes longer to inspect the car than to build one." Seemed as though that was a question also it seemed as though the inspector dodged the question. I think they may be inspecting multiple cars at once to make up for the amount of cars they build in the course of an inspection.

How do they sell it new with 0 miles on it if they give it a 40 minute test drive?
@Zepherian
@Zepherian 10 лет назад
Once the car is signed off for final sell as they say they could just set the counter to 0 so it just marks driver miles. Or they could sell a 0 mile car with a few miles that correspond to the manufacturing process. Any "new" car can have a couple of dozen miles on it corresponding to the manufacturing and delivering process without impacting its value.

Why does that matter? People build things they can't afford all over the world; houses, trains, planes, spacecraft, ships, skyscrapers, heavy machinery. Should Boeing and Airbus only employ billionaires on their shop floors? You don't get a job based on your ability to afford what you build, all that matters is whether you can do it.

these bentley vids just don't have the same charm or attraction that the Koenigsegg videos had. I suspect it's to do with the car, the quality is still great but the factory (namely the people in it) seem like they're there for a job, not a passion like Christian Von Koenigsegg
@Zepherian
@Zepherian 10 лет назад
Koenigsegg has cutting edge internal combustion engineering, custom electronics, an ex fighter squadron base factory and test track and a hypercar that can take full input steering at full throttle. And the boss of the much smaller company to take Drive through the process. Yes, it was a better series but not because of Drive, because Koenigsegg is more interesting than a Bentley. A segg costs as much as how many Mulsannes? Driving a Mulsanne every day is probably more relaxing and versatile though. The Pagani series was also interesting. Building a hypercar like Pagani or Koenigsegg is a more intimate process. The videos reflect this. I still find the Bentley series interesting despite this. It's cool to see car manufacturing done right.
