Love how I haven't seen it go under the name "the smash killer" like Nick all star brawl did. The game is existing as its own thing and not tHe nExT sMash!!

I still really like the concept of a team based fighting game, the fact that characters can viably fill a support role without being locked out of anything major is really nice

I'm happy that this game is getting the appreciation it deserves.

There are so many characters that can be put into this game, it's insane! Samurai Jack, Ben 10, Daffy Duck, King Kong, Darkseid, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Green Lantern, The Animaniacs, Grim, He-Man, Generator Rex, Pinky and The Brain, The Mask, Lex Luthor, Robot Chicken and too many others to count! GOD do I want this game to SOAR!

I'm still kinda iffy on this game, but the fact that they have Tom's screams when he gets KOed just warms my soul.

Because this is a team based game, imagine if there were final smash-like moves that are based on the character combo. Would be awesome ngl, this game encourages friendship, unlike... *_Its Originator_* (we all know what I'm talking about)

This game has the potential to have anything from Rick and morty to Harry Potter to Godzilla to a jojo character. Needless to say, I’m excited.

One of my favorite things in this game is in response to fighting Harley, Garnet sometimes says “I find you lack of sanity… concerning.” Mid-match

if the rabbids were in this they would have a unique moveset i mean theres rabbids with actual super powers and they use weapons that are items like plungers and plunger guns

It's so cool that Warner brothers has made a platform fighter, it's heaven for smash fans that don't care about the 700th fire emblem character

Devs said the Floaty gravity was intentional/part of the game cause it would be near impossible to pull off team-based synergy otherwise

I tried this with my friends. This is definitely better as a 2-v-2 than a FFA. Breaking old Smash habits is hard, like trying to go for grabs (since this game rarely has any) or using tilts. You can also be alive a LOT longer than you'd think if your opponent doesn't chase you off stage. This game is very forgiving off the stage, giving all your moment options back if you even touch the side of the stage. The game is in alpha, so I can forgive it feeling wonky for now (though I doubt much will be changed by release). Edit: I also recommend using legacy controls for familiarity. Thank god for button mapping

I know this video was posted tester day but to answer the question about competitive on the official RU-vid they hold a some tourney between pro plays form other games (smash and other fighting games) perks were on.

Regarding the “Power of Cartoons,” in the Dr. Slump episode of Dragonball Super, Vegeta openly acknowledges that Gag characters break the power scaling of shonen fights, rendering them unbeatable.

I like how it focuses on killing off the top mostly, which is why aerial combat/movement matters so much

Coming from Brawlhalla, this game looks like something more familiar to me than Smash. No grabs, fights focusing on dodging attacks and punishing, 2v2, aerial fights and how the game encourages you to go confirm your kills. I really can't wait for when open beta comes out.
