Typically when your international flight back home gets cancelled because of extreme weather, it's never a good situation to be in. However, right at the very end of our European Christmas trip 23', 17 inches of snow decided to dump on Munich overnight and create some scenes that the city hadn't seen for over 20 years. (In some cases, I heard over 40 years.....who knows really, but I know it has been quite a while). Luckily we were able to stay in our hotel room and enjoy another two days of Christmas Winter Wonderland in the Bavarian Capital. Hope you enjoy this video, it will sure give you some extreme (yet beautiful) scenes of one of our favorite cities in Europe. Don't forget to "like" and subscribe to our channel, we have several other videos from this trip to Germany to Austria. Thanks for tuning in!!

About Us:
We have been married since 2009 and reside near Pittsburgh, PA. Even before we were married, we loved planning trips and traveling to cool destinations. It has now become our passion and we love diving into new foreign cultures, food, and attractions. We started making home DVDs for our own keepsake many years ago. It was a great way to preserve memories and re-live those moments whenever we wanted. We eventually found that uploading these videos to RU-vid made a lot of sense. We could share them with family and friends across the country in real time, on smart TVs, Ipads, and smart phones. That eventually led to us creating the “Matt n Rach” RU-vid Channel. Our focus now is not only to preserve our memories, but to include educational and useful information for our viewers as well.
In 2022 we had our daughter, Vivienne, who is now a big part of our traveling team. Traveling with a small child certainly has its challenges, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We hope you enjoy our content and please leave a comment if you liked our video or have some something you’d like to share. We love hearing from our viewers!!

Hi. Just wanted to thank you for your review of Munich. We were there in May and saw many of the sights you mentioned. We also explored the Olympic Park and a few castles just outside the city. Thank you again. Charlie from Tucson, Arizona

So we were trying to get from Vienna to Salzburg when that storm hit. Our direct train was late leaving Vienna, got stuck in St Polten for an hour, then had to change trains in Linz. A bit hectic but no worries. Finally made it to Salzburg five hours late and walked across Mozartsteg bridge at night at the height of the snow. It really was awesome. Next day was clear skies, beautiful snow for the Christmas markets. What really messed with us was a German rail strike the day we were set to leave to Frankfurt for our flight back home 😂. No issues, had a great time. Really want to go back.

Thanks for sharing. Yeah what a snowstorm that was. Wouldn’t have it any other way. If you saw our Salzburg video you would have seen we had major train trouble as well due to “repairs on the line”. What ever happened to the reliable Euro Train system. lol. J/k. We want to go to Vienna next!!

You have been to the "nürnberger bratwurstglöckl am dom" not at "augustiner am dom". It was a god choice because it is the historic place.

Wow….i think you’re right. Never noticed that. I was 100% sure we were at the Augustiner Am Dom. Nevertheless, it was a great place and very historic from what I heard. Thanks for watching and thanks for letting us know!!!!
