In literary terms, it's Agatha Christie, Midsomer Murders, and the great Raymond Chandler all rolled into one. And the Murdaughs really are shaping up to be The Little Foxes.
I cant figure out why busters getting 530,000 from sale of house. Unless hes getting maggies share. She was in on it all or that place wouldn't have just been in her name she help him hide assets. I maybe wrong but until all moneys stolen and law suits settled. None of them should get a penny. Most have to work and earn their own money. Let him work for what he gets. Very few kids inherit over half million dollars..give that to victims.i cant figure why hes getting it.
Obviously - they are generations of ole southern attorneys- granddaddy ran moonshine - Moselle was deal from his smuggler business partner whose family was generations of smugglers.
Mandy - I hope you are in the works for a Netflix Hulu or something deal for a series about this when it's all over. These episodes are fascinating. You deserve an award and recognition for this work.
Maybe she sold some stuff to Netflix for the recent small Film which I’ve not seen. I hope some big movie is made, A real Movie, when this is all Over. It could be a very good movie if well done and big budget.
@@cumberlandquiltchic1 Valerie is in it the one Mandy talked about and i didnt like her vibe she obviously is in no way invested in this the way this team is to see Valerie in action was something else IMO
Funny how they're having brother John, the so-called "black sheep" tractor salesman, carry the family can now. Brother Randy, who is an attorney and still actively practicing law, is happy to let non-attorney farm equipment salesman brother John do so. You can just imagine their Public Relations people recommending that strategy: "Let's put somebody out there who's more sympathetic, more 'neutral', more regular guy and slightly less detestable." It's easy to picture.
You left out, john and his family, traveled private jets Bahamas, etc, gambling in Vegas, owned island properties, etc, etc etc. He's full of it, just cries and plays on us, the simple, hard- working, true to self and others citizens.
Lil ol’ J Maaarviiin, just a little ol rock in the road, mista natural, sweating the ruff stuff rentin’out those tractors in between gambling in Vegas and vaca in Bahamas, must be tiresome.
Totally agree and I truly feel we ain't seen't nothin yet. The breadth and depth of this century old mob famiglia operation is going to expose corruption at an unprecedented level with a lot of high ranking public officials going down. It's gunna be fascinating to watch this all unwind and figure out who's broken the rules for profit supporting Murdaugh's criminal enterprise. IMO, we are starting to scratch the surface on the whole drug smuggling operation. If ur trying to tell me that Alec is completely broke and has no money "tucked away" I call BS! Didn't he just steal like $8 or 9M in the last couple of years off his broke ass clients alone? @Mandy is swimming in dangerous waters right now when it comes to not only S. Carolina public officials scared to death on being exposed, but who knows if the cartel is also involved in this? Stay safe Mandy and team.
This family is horrible ! liers, murders thieves . I wouldn't trust a one of them. Buster , quit taking your dad's phone calls. he is running you still. He is running all of you and your letting him.

Creepy John Marvin laughed when asked to confirm if Paul left Guns around…. That’s not funny, that’s pathetic. None of them should’ve been allowed to buy or possess a firearm.
I do believe without a doubt both brothers know exactly the truth of what Alex did. They are protecting him because they love him, but at the end of the day the truth is the truth and denial is deep river. Anyone who can kill their wife and child is a monster. Who could ever feel safe with a person like this after knowing he killed his wife and blew his sons brains out? No one saw this coming. Heartbreaking and tragic. So many things questions and things that only Alec could answer. At this point, purge your soul Alec. He has nothing to lose. He lost it all. He had a lot of people that loved him, trusted him, and felt like family. He knows that no one saw the stealing for years and he treated them all like family, gave no indication of drug addiction (I still do not believe that) won big cases, and that is not high dose opiod user, and also he drank alcohol. With the doses he talks about doing and drinking alcohol with it, I don’t see how he would be alive after 20 years of this and be able to do law.
@@debijo5288 I don’t think Alec would ever tell him, but I do believe Alec would tell his brothers. I believe he knows in his heart his Dad did it. Probably make you wonder to yourself if you were him, did he think about killing me too? Could I of been one of the victims? That would have to run through your mind.
@@cyn4246 I didnt think of that. I would not want to sleep in the same house! Alec could have let loose on the entire rest of the family while he was staying with them & their kids in the house too! Their lucky there psyco brother didnt get them!
This is one of the most incredible stories I have ever heard. Fiction or non, any genre. The truths consistently revealed here are breathtaking. Saying that the plot thickens and broadens daily doesn’t even do justice to this tangle of snakes. With all apologies to snakes.
You are so right! I'm beginning to think all of the family, friends & business contacts are implicated -- kind of like Chad & Lori Daybell's circle of friends & several family members.
You should check out the Daybell case in Idaho!!!! Pure horror. It’s been three years since their spouses were killed in weird ways, and Loris kids were gruesomely cut into pieces. It’s such a horrid case the judge won’t allow cameras in the courtroom when the trial is finally going to begin in April. It’s all involved with the Mormon religion.
My family was actually normal and I saved my money and bought a boat somebody abandoned and the marina sold it cheap as a lien sale to me, if I got drunk and crashed it and a passenger died, I would have been arrested and convicted for murder , as a normal person
Well Bob your reasoning is.. actually pretty dumb. The turd was murdered so after he was arrested it never got to trial because AM killed him. AM actually did the state / county and the residents a solid favor by saving taxpayers money but not needing to have a trial for paw paw. The kid was a arrogant little entitled pos.
@@mariagabrielle6383 maybe I should have said that if I'd been around 50 and my son who was under 21 took it out drunk and killed someone because of it, as just a normal person we'd probably both be taken in and I imagine there'd be some pretty big consequences for both of us
@@dv1267 well, you know, from what I've seen he never got arrested like someone such as myself might with no pull, where they take a mugshot of you and have a bail hearing where you're put in that cage thing in the courtroom with the other people cause manslaughter/ murder is quite a serious charge and brought in from the jail with the other arrested people, but for that charge none of that happened and they took his " mugshot" in the court hallway, so seems like he was treated just like everyone else, no?
That's why Alex said on the jailhouse call with Buster that all the big equipment and expensive tools belonged to John Marvin and he should get it off the Moselle property as soon as possible.❓❓❓
Yeah that was their slick way of keeping it from being confiscated by the authorities. If they claimed they belonged to John Marvin then they couldn't be taken towards what he owes.
John Marvin and Buster. Randy seems disgusted by it all. He hasn’t spoken to Alex in over a year and after the verdict publicly said he thinks Alex is hiding info and there’s more to his story. Remember, Alex caused Randy to have to pay about $1 million out of his own pocket just to pay back Alex’ financial victims.
The rabbit hole gets deeper. You all never cease to amaze me with each video... thank you for all the information, it shows that you guys put so much into this, how well done it is, thank you so much for all your hard work! And uncovering the truth!
Someone should tell them that regular folks actually know not to handwrite anything on legal documents other than our own witnessed signature. We regular folks know what "invalidation" means.
Regular folks, private jet traveling Bahamas, etc, gambling big time in Vegas, etc, owning private islands, the ETC go much further than us regular folks.
At the time of this writing Alex has been convicted. That being said I hope this investigation takes a long time because I’m addicted to this story. After watching the trial every day, I began watching the Murdaugh Murders Podcast videos from the beginnings. FASCINATING
The same tone deafness afflicted Marian's testimony when she called the Murdaughs' lifestyle "just comfortable but not lavish"..... after talking about her searching for and expecting to purchase a FOURTH RESIDENCE and second beach house. Not LAVISH, just "comfortable"! GIving teenage boys matching AR15's that cost several thousand dollars each, and replacing Paul's after he "lost" it? That AMMO is extravagantly expensive!
Are we the only two who noticed what Marian said? I was truly disgusted by her comment. So insensitive. Made me realize that all these people int understand how regular folk live.
Ty Mandy for all you and your crews hard work now and over the years on this tragic story and all involved there is always more to cover in this story it never stops looking forward to a movie you do good work😊
What changed last Spring? Maggie was changing her life course and that didn’t include Alex. So, Alex cut her off. Men punish with money. Women punish with sex and access to kids.
They were adult children. What happened that makes you believe she was punishing Alex with the children (or young adult) children? I’m curious. I am not judging your comment

I have been watching the Murdaugh trial live on Court TV for weeks and only found the Murdaugh Murders Podcast a few days ago so I'm piecing through these great investigative videos in a sort of willy nilly fashion as I find them. The more I watch your videos, the deeper and dirtier the Murdaugh's (I do mean the whole family and I do mean way back) turn out to be. I will keep digging out your videos and enjoy having you, Mandy, fill in the blanks. Thank you!!
John Marvin Murdough is like his brother and family. You can tell how he talks. John talked with investigators trying to find out things they knew. What a family.
They put John Marvin on the stand cause he looks just as slick as Alex, the other brother randy was the straight laced son who already has said he thinks alex knows more than he's saying and interestingly randy didn't testify in Alex's trial
Has anyone suggested that Alex's father's death just a few days after the deaths of Maggie and Paul, was suspicious? I know he was elderly and ill, but still, I can't help wondering at the timing....
@@gleefulme9617 Oh okay. I heard someone say there was a theory that he was there that night that Maggie and Paul were killed (some people said Alec wasn't alone, so people were theorizing if the alleged second person was Alec's dad or Buster.
Everything they have is due to generational transfer of wealth... The broad brush used to paint the whole family was provided by the Murdaugh ancestors as well as current family members.
I heard a psychologist say that rich and/or entitled people don't think about the consequences to their actions they just think about the benefits that they will get
@@electricaf365 I shouldn’t have said rich people because that doesn’t really factor into it. It is the narcissistic people who feel entitled to what ever they want, and they are willing to do whatever to get it not imagining that there would be consequences for them.
As illustrated so well by the Buchanans in "The Great Gatsby" This story has just begun 2/23, and the material is stranger than fiction. Wish the late Pat Conroy("Prince of Tides", "Great Santini"...) were around to write the saga *before* Netflix/HBO gets their greedy claws for the screen rights.🤦🏼♀️
No, no you did not hear from a psychologist, saying that rich people... blah blah blah... Absurd statement! Although I agree with the thought that generational wealth can cause entitlement. Nepotism can cause entitlement. And entitlement can cause a certain type of selfishness and carelessness. But 'rich' is a subjective term. Rich to you may be a completely different meaning to another person. A rich person can be self-made and not entitled. So no, there is no licensed psychologist that would ever say that.
Not cool. It’s NOT OK to conflate the criminal and corrupt with the majority of the good citizens of any place. The same thing could be said about NEW YORK, Washington DC and California if your logic were applied to these places as well.
@@Thehappy_ I understand loyalty for one’s home state, but you may have blinders on here. The bad reputation wasn’t created by a YT commenter. It was created by guys like Alex Murdaugh, and all his corrupt accomplices, including banks, judges, law enforcement… rampant corruption in SC. Just a fact.
The comment John Marvin made about people ‘moving forward’ is ludicrous. Could we please let people grieve for a time AND deal with the shock of all this discovery. So many people are affected and devastatingly so. Time is needed to find the truth and sort the many sordid crimes. John Marvin is probably moving forward. None of the Murdaughs seem to have empathy. This town needs to be completely taken over and everyone in power that even shook hands with a Murdaugh needs to be alleviated of ANY power! Unreal! This town was small people and bodies have piled up around them like a gangster movie. WTH?
This is exactly what I thought from the very beginning. The entire family are crooks all the way back to great-grandfather. All of their friends and law partners had to know what was going on. Even Maggie had to know. The Beach family would not have anything to gain by shooting them Paul was going in front of the judge in 3 days and the Beach family had a 10 million dollar lawsuit against them. The only way for it to go away was to if Paul died and Alex didn't have the money to pay them off. Maggie was getting in the way. She may have decided to file for divorce and she knew too much. Great job on reporting
There’s no valid reason Alec would be responsible for his adult son - or money due to an accident allegedly caused by his son. He’s an adult. All the individuals on that boat had full knowledge Paul was drinking - and they were all drunk. They chose to get on off on off on that boat 5 times, knowingly without lights on the boat and drunk - and were all. Fighting. The boyfriend of Mallory beach - got in a physical fight with Paul on the boat while he was at the helm - before the crash.
Blanks stated on the stand that Maggie told her the Beach family was suing them for $30 million and Maggie told Blanka they didn’t have that kind of money.
The boat lawsuit did not and would not have “gone away”. The bottom line is there was no insurance to sue - since the umbrella policy was cancelled - after Alec sued obo Gloria Satterfield and the settlement was over 4 ml - the policy maximum. There was no money. When their atty started looking for $ - becasuse Alec is not liable for actions of his adult son - as neither is Maggie _ Paul has no money - and there was no insurance - that atty decided to try to go after Alec for “bad parenting”. Thst is a very difficult charge to prove - particularly for adult child - and the law silly was obo another adult child that knew the risks -knocking Paul and his behavior, his tendencies - no doubt - yet decided to get on that boat with him driving not once but 5 separate times, a boat with no headlights - they were all drinking - all bought their own alcohol with fake I d’s - all afternoon up until 2am, it’s hard to claim liability for accidents under those circumstances- even against an insurer. It’s no different than an auto accident where 1 drives drunk and the others decide to knowingly get in the car - knowing the risk “assuming the risk”, and there’s a wreck - fault or no fault. The Beach’s had no case - the attorneys acknowledged that fact - even now - after all the loans and bills (mortgages) and attorneys - there’s no money ….not ver much - not like the Beach’s we’re hoping for.
What about Maggie’s sister who said on the stand during Alex’s trial that the Murdaugh’s didn’t live a lavish lifestyle? That struck me as extremely insensitive, and that all these families of privilege have no idea how us regular folk live.
You have done an excellent job of chronologically documenting the corruption and crimes committed by Alex and his associates! I remember when Gloria had her "accident " and felt it was suspicious at the time. Thank you for these podcasts, the audacity of this entire family is disgusting. Maggie and Paul died at the hand of Alex to once again manipulate and cover his crimes! So many trusting innocent people fell victim to this narcissistic thief!
I could not give these people the benefit of the doubt ever. I don’t trust John Marvin farther than I can throw him. I’d like to call John Marvin, Joe Joe Mo.
Maybe Alex did have a policy on Maggie but he sold it back to the insurance company and kept the money before Maggie‘s death. So John Marvin is probably telling the truth on that one. Next question would be, what was the last time Maggie had a life insurance policy, how much and what’s the date?
Ok so I think I’ve finally understood it, or maybe not lol. So it may have been that after Maggie died someone ( a male Murdaugh) crossed off her sister and wrote in Randall, without initializing on purpose to make it invalid according to the law and then they, not Maggie’s sister, would get to be in charge? Have I got that right?
So, if this is the case, and it sounds like it is, then Alex didn’t need to get life insurance on Maggie, because all he had to do was invalidate her will. Hope the prosecutor can present this to the jury.
If the father hadn't died would Alex be in jail?? Or would dad have taken care of it?? Did he know Maggie n Paul were gonna be killed?? Was the father killed??
If Mallory Beach had not been murdered by Paul Murdaugh and Alex hadn’t tried to influence witnesses and tamper with evidence, everyone would be alive and living their lavish lives off the pain and suffering of others.
Okay, question: if Maggie changed the PR of her will to her sister years ago, wouldn't she have asked her sister, or at least MENTIONED it to her? I find it odd that Maggie's sister says she knew nothing about it.
It's a fair question, but I can see it happening. In my own family over the years we've had several instances of named Executors/PRs who had no idea they were such until following a death and contact by the attorney(s) whose hands things were left in. Based on that personal experience I can imagine Maggie's sister not knowing. But, as with everything here, who really knows.
Alex had her do it: Just as he told Marion: “ whoever did this was planning it a long time!” With him always knowing it’d be Null by someone simply handwriting a signature & of course it’s back to Alex by that default =If Mags wanted her know she’d known= So what we can get out of this is that Alex was scheming & stealing way bf 2010 & you know there’s life insurance out there on both Paul & Maggie mist likely in dear johns name and/or in another State like Georgia = where he ran too to collect (I mean to do rehab)
This story is crazy…but a lot of people that are perceived to have a lot of money, actually don’t have cash or money. It’s all smoke and mirrors. They live on credit to keep up appearances. It is very plausible they were actually cash poor, but have multiple homes that they don’t actually own. Just more notes.
These “guys” are doing the “right” thing.?PMPED still owes the Lt. that AM stole from. The Firm still wants him to pay them for Alex’s lawyer fees. When it was Alex that stole from him…where is PMPED’s liability insurance
@@glendaburrell7435he's not jealous of him. The point was that Alex didn't even know about him cause he's not a murdaugh. Waters is not jealous of him lol he's done all of the crimes here and knows far more than others do.
They had a joint account for sure. And, how do we know that there wasn’t money in her account and Alec withdrew it before he was arrested? He had access to it. He was not arrested the night of the murders.
