Brenda has actually died in more than one Scary Movie film, but it never sticks. One of my favorite bits is from Scary Movie 4, when Cindy sees Brenda and remembers that Brenda died in part 3: CINDY: Brenda! I thought you were dead! BRENDA: Oh, Cindy. *brushing it off* I thought you were dead, too.

Listening to this, I kept thinking of the first Murder March Madness a few years ago, and I came up with a version of Rock, Paper, Scissors. *_"Djinn, Blob, West."_* Djinn beats West, West beats Blob, Blob beats Djinn. Because if the bracket was ordered just a little differently, any of the last three could have won.

1:01:40 I could see Chris and Brenda fighting, and Brenda is just trying to get with him the whole time and _her_ horniness will be her downfall, and he'd like to stab her and she'd be coughing up blood but STILL be flirting with him super hard and THAT would be the comedy. Also. Not sure if anyone has said it yet, but come on. Nancy starts out as a smart teen who is able to outwit Freddy and then literally becomes a professional like Loomis but is able to teach the younger wards in her care how to beat Freddy whereas Loomis never really understood Michael and wasn’t able to pass down any kind of “ace in the hole” knowledge to someone that defeats Micheal like Nancy teaches the Dream Warriors.

Chris vs Mary Shaw: I feel like Chris has a chance. I say this because he can put cotton (if they can only use in-universe things) or something in his ears to keep her from being able to hypnotize him and send him to The Sunken Place (which I feel is his only weakness) to make him scream. Without that, he could easily destroy her dolls and win.

I think if Brenda tried fighting Mary Shaw she'd be stuck in a bit where more dolls keep appearing out of nowhere (like that SpongeBob bit where he's trying to smash Squidward's alarm clocks and Squidward opens a closet full of them), so she'd never be able to destroy them all before she screams and gets killed.

Loomis should've beaten Nancy. People forget that in Halloween 5 he got slashed across the stomach, thrown off a balcony, and still managed to beat Michael unconscious in a fit of rage. Loomis is out of his damn mind. And he also somehow survived that explosion in Halloween 2. It left him with burn scars and a limp, so Nancy's definitely faster, but idk if Loomis is more frail. He's definitely more crazy.

My sister and I watched Phantasm recently, we’d never seen any of the movies and we knew literally nothing about them except that someone called The Tall Man yells “BOY” a lot, and as soon as Reggie came into the story, standing there over his friends coffin, we looked at each other and I said “I already love him,” and she was like “dude me too.” Then during the scene where he’s playing his guitar we were cracking up and almost crying with joy, “oh my god I love him so much,” “he’s so gentle and kind!” 😂 Big Reggie fans in this house 😂

I'm totally bias cuz he's one of my favorite horror characters of all time, but Marty didn't get a fair shake! 😂 the same logic you used for Chris against Nancy in the next round could have apply. Plus, Marty had to disembowl that zombie will a trowel! Love these episodes! They're so fun, James G is very enjoyable and funny

I support Dana and Marty refusing to die to avoid the wrath of the Ancient Gods. But, I support them for meta-textual reasons. The whole movie seems to be a commentary on movies: the people in the control room are the studio executives, the characters are the filmmakers, and the Ancient Gods are the audience. The control room is trying keep the audience happy by giving them what they expect, but the filmmakers are more willing to lose their audience then they are to compromise.

In regards to Chris versus Mary Shaw- I think Chris might have a shot. If he can keep his cool (I wouldn’t know- haven’t seen the movie), then Mary Shaw can’t lay a finger on him. Of course, this is operating under the assumption that he knows to destroy her dummies and has heard/heeds the advice of Mary Shaw’s nursery rhyme.

This was great and amazing. I do feel a bit screw-jobed by the Mary Shaw explanation, I really wanted to see angry road rage Russell Crowe take it. That being said I am satisfied with this result and my vote goes to Chris. Not only as a revenge on Mary Shaw for robbing me of angry Russell Crowe vs Mick Taylor matchup but also...come on. Chris killed that entire family. He bashed a guy's head in with a crocket ball. He was calm and collected when he took a spike (can't remember if it was a screwdriver) through the hand and turned it on that woman WHILE IT WAS STILL LODGED IN HIS HAND and outsmarted that MMA/Judo guy. He really is a survivor's survivor and able to think on his feet. He'd bash and burn those dolls without a problem and I find it hard to see him in a situation where he wouldn't outsmart Mary Shaw or be scared by her after spending time in the sunken place. I really have to give it to Chris.
