I moved to Trion at 15 about 6 months after this happened. We used to ride atvs up there right after the house burned. One of my mother's coworkers was married to a cop and gave us color prints of the crime scene photos of them and their dogs. They were gruesome to say the least. I think they are still packed up in my mother's things. We used to camp out up there where the pool was. You should have seen the place 30 uears ago It was impressive to be built by just 2 people. And what you're standing in is not the pink room it was torn down right after the house was burned.
Ahh I'm so excited to see someone exploring Corpsewood! I'm from Rome, Georgia (quite near where this is located) and I actually went and explored the ruins when I was a teenager. It's definitely an eerie place to be at night and there isn't really any cell reception!

Awesome explore definitely very creepy must be even more creepy at night I wondered if you guys might do an evp session there. It sure would be quite the experience what a gruesome story behind it. It sure looked sinister seeing what it looked like originally. Great work slogging through the woods.
They were both just two sweet harmless guys who wanted to live their lives in peace. Sure they had some peculiar interests, and they did LSD (it was the 70s, everyone was on LSD). Their neighbors were skeptical about them at first but they won over everyone in their town who met them. They were good people and it's a shame they didn't get to enjoy their lovely home for longer.
I wish you could have done this on a dry day but it kind of made it better this way. The only thing is I wish the camera was a little slower in moving. Kinda lost me a few places as the distances between buildings. Good talking. Could understand everything. I'm gonna go and wrap up in a blanket now that you have me a little spooked. Stories like these kinda get me. Thanks for doing this for us. I would probably never known this without you. Looking forward to the next trip.

This is more common than not where the police do little to nothing when a crime has been committed. Also if the police find your stuff that has been stolen does not mean that you will ever get it back. It will more likely be sold at auction. I have been victim to felonies and the police did nothing in each an every case to go after the person that did the crimes against me. The most that one can expect out of the police is that they might make a report. They are not likely to help anyone if they will be hurt, or if the other person does not confess to their crime.

No... Don't take no evil cursed bricks home. Wow very sad story. Hate that the dogs got killed. It was exciting to see the ruins and hear the story behind it. But it's very sad. Poor dogs. I know another place that you can visit like this that was once a house and is in ruins... With a very scary story behind it. Its in Winsconsin and it's called Summerwind. Look it up on Google. That place is very creepy and it's one of my favorite haunted house stories.
When I visited a few weeks ago I also took the same path to get there you did. Later on that day I found there is a shorter path of you drive further up that dirt road past the boulders. That wasn't the pink room. That was the lavatory . The other structure was the well house. The pink room was the third floor if the chicken house which is no longer there.

kelly k Per eyewitness Teresa Hudgins who was there with Joey Wells( her bf) Avery Brock and Tony West the night of the murders, they climbed the ladder to the top of the chicken house which was the pink room. Scudder was with the 4 in the pink room and his partner was in the house with the dogs. His partner and dogs were shot in the house and the Scudder while tied up was taken in the house by West and Brock as she and Joey Wells followed. Scudder was then shot in the house as well. Very interesting story about that place and would have been great to see more pictures of what it looked like when they actually lived there. Very strange name they gave the place also and disturbing to say the least.
I'm so glad to see Corpsewood being explored! It's a horrific story, but you got a couple of the details incorrect. I've done extensive research on the murders and there is a lot of misinformation on the internet. The pink room was the second floor of a wooden building called the chicken house. That is where Scudder and Odom and were partying with Brock and West, who had two teens with them, the night of the murder. West initiated the murders when he took Odom into the house where he killed him along with the dogs. Scudder was then taken into the house and shot him as you related in the video. Scudder and Odom were certainly no angels, if what has been written of their drug-fueled parties is even close to true, but Brock and West more than matched them as greedy, glue/alcohol/paint thinner huffing, cold blooded murderers.

The murders happened in the main house not in the pink room. The building you were in is not the chicken house/pink room. That was a storage building where the well pump was. You're right about the outhouse which had a chemical toilet. The chicken house was a 3 story square building that had a brick first floor and wood 2nd and 3rd floor. The 3rd floor was the pink room. That building is gone though the foundation might be still there. There are pictures of the chicken house which looks like it was behind the storage building and outhouse. I did live in the middle of a woods. I am still there but farmers tore down one woods in the 1970s, so wind hits the remaining woods. Many people left Detroit and came this way. Some did not want to rake so they clear-cut and put in spindly pines here and there. Now it is an Xerb and the city limit has annexed a lot and has reached within 1 mile..
This place has all the qualities of a creepy, haunted property. An eccentric owner builds his own custom mansion filled with equally eccentric furnishings, and is murdered with his lover. If anyplace would have sinister vibes attached to it, this would, so yes, do an overnight investigation there.
No that's not the pink room that is either the shower room or the toilet. The chicken house was a three-story wood structure and the top floor was painted pink and that's where they had their parties . that building has been since burned years ago. Next time you go put a pair of hip boots on if you are going into the woods when it's raining.

The bottom part of the chicken coop was brick, the upper part was wooden. One of the guys was killed in the chicken coop building. Someone burned down the house. I guess they took the huge gargoyle or distoryed it that was up top of the homes enterence. Where you were standing WAS where the stairs once lead to the to the second floor. You need high boots and snake shields. (Can get in an Army N. store) Better to be safe than sorry.
