It’s also so sympathetic when he asks „don’t you ever see anyone here?“ Like he’s a demon and angels would expect demons to be snarky and evil, but Crowley seemed to genuinely care for Muriel, you can see that his face expression seems very honest- because he knows what it’s like being lonely. This is so sweet of him 😭
I love the logic of this scene. Heaven would never consider the idea that a demon could reenter Heaven, and another angel would never think about reading something above their position. So why would they change the password?
They have no concept of a demon entering heaven ... the passwords are there to gently remind any angel who accidently asks for information the are not privileged to, that they might have possibly have done so erroneously ....

Good Omens just casually dropping lore about Crowley in the last episode of the season! I'm so curious about what his former official rank was. A Throne, Dominion, or above. How many ranks are above those two? Since Crowley was so highly ranked in Heaven, why didn't that carry over in Hell? Why wasn't he a Duke of Hell like Hastur or Dagon? Was he just not interested?
my theory: the reason he's not highly ranked in hell is that he didn't actually fight on lucifer's side in the war,, "sauntered vaguely downwards" and all that,, he's not good enough to be an angel, not bad enough to really fit in as a demon
Highest is Seraph, 2nd is Cherubim, 3rd Thrones/Ophanim, 4th Dominions/Lordships...and the lowest is plain Angel at 9th or something. So yeah; he was pretty high up, which feels like something that might be relevant in future seasons as well. Edit: Dominions are supposed to govern the movements of stars, planets and such, which would fit what we know of Crowley so far.
I just want Crowley to just start collecting Angels who to them think he's their friend and Crowley is outwardly annoyed but secretly loves their company. Crowley's Angels, I'll take my residuals in cash, thank you, studios
