In the final shot you can see these writings on the three heads (song titles?): Dom's Head: ・Liberation ・Will of the People Matt's Head: ・Compliance ・Die ・Kill or Be Killed Chris's Head: ・Ghosts ・Won't Stand Down ・Euphoria
If I'm not mistaken, the riff you hear in the distance is a riff that Matt played once on stage during the Simulation Theory Tour and he said "Haha that riff will probably end up on the next album"
it happens haha.... heres an early version of Psycho i recorded back on the Black Holes tour.... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SaXsKHL71nM.html
@@Viper-dz2kw And? that doesnt invalidate my comment or footage...... they still played Psycho on the Black Holes tour as shown in my video. Had I filmed them playing the Psycho Riff on the earlier tours, i would have linked that, but i dont. Also, this was filmed by me, im not talking about "clips" i found online, No need for caveats. My comment wasnt meant to be extrapolated as a "this is the first time they played Psycho" comment.......
@@MorganMcGinnis And I don't believe theirs was meant to imply that you were. You internalized the shit out of that. I recommend you reread it with the perspective that they were simply adding helpful info.
I know there’s a book called “The Will of the People: Revolutionary Birth of America” by T.H. Breen that was used for Project MUSE at Johns Hopkins University. Not sure if that has *anything* to do with this, but it seems like something Matt would read or be inspired by.
@@gazelle1467 I like Tim but I'll be honest, when I first heard him play they were jamming in a vid, the first few seconds I was about to roll my eyes and cringe, but then the songs sounded great. Then the actual recording with video he then released was really good!
@@mygetawayart in a way i hope it isn't intentional, it's not a great look to be stealing hooks from other songs throughout your album. Once or twice, sure, it's a cute homage. But this would make it 100% of the album so far 'taking inspiration' from other songs lol, hope the trend doesn't continue.
The new album will be called 'Will of the People' In the clip of Won't stand down you saw the symbol consisting of a W(ill), O(f), T(he), and P(eople). Now you hear them sing it in the background as well, as it will probably be a song too, the first.
You should check out what this is promoting, it's great! This promo really got the visual flair of the titular song down. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B-iNIwAFzPw.html
@@imjustaguy8232Why would I want to go to another artists song who's dogs are out blowing up this comment section accusing a 30 year old band of suddenly stealing ideas.
@@istouder226 Tim Pool? Is he in a K-pop band? Sounds Korean. Like I think "Park" and "pool" are common Korean sir names. Thanks for letting me know, I'll have to check them out.
It has elements of all their albums, the colours of origins of symmetry. The limitless walking men in drones. The downfall of power from there onwards. I’m looking forward to it. I’m sure this is the intro to some opening track
@@nathandewitt1807 a close second... As in one more second and they will paired and have babies with Radiohead? Or as in a close second in line in terms of importance? I find it hard to place them in the same category, which leads me to understand that your first in place is Radiohead... I listen to them both and the discussions are different and so are the approaches to narrative...
@@untitled795 it was a teamwork and the artist got paid for his wonderful work, right? Like music video directors, album cover designers... and they all get paid for their fabulous work...
With just a few seconds of video, MUSE manages to convey everything that will be reflected in the new album and keeps us expectant and eager to hear all the songs. "Won't stand down" and "Compliance" are simply spectacular.
Been listening to muse for more than a decade now and it baffles me how their sounds still manage to arouse me like it did back then. Every album feels like a godsend (to my ears).
Well with the last song, and this imagery and the chanting I feel Muse is going back to their roots while maintaining a new refreshing sound. And if I am right I'll be very happy.
Or tim can just stop being arrogant. Only similarities is the name and the statues, after the 2 years we've bin through I'd expect more of the same imagery and content, listen to muses 2 new songs, all fits with what's going on, this fits too. So any one who uses statues, orange and writes songs about the last 2 years tim will sue. He's off his head.
Orange sky- post apocalyptic sci-fi vibes, Pulling down statues in the desert- the 1818 British Romantic poem “Ozmandius” Will of the People- a phrase coined by the French philosopher Rousseau. Tim whoever needs to get over himself. None of these ideas are original. This isn’t something he can win a court case over. The only thing he could rightfully sue for is the melody of his song being stolen. And I highly doubt any song on his album sounds anything like Muse.
Is it me, or there is a kind of tribute to Marilyn Manson´s "The beautiful people" here? However it is, Muse really knows how to hype us!!! Can't wait on their new album!!!
They’re debut mini-album was self-titled. I don’t know exactly when it was released, I think after the Muscle Museum ep. It had I think, one or two songs from Showbiz and a few B-sides. The album cover was ugly af though.
between how the music video for won't stand down doesn't match the lyrics completely and this i hope they are doing a visual novel and will follow through with it unlike simulation theory
oh btw, i was predicting Muse's next album live concert (or world tour) if they have like their three statues like in this vid on a concert, that would be very incredible.
This strangely seems Similar to Tim Pool’s song “Will of the People” that was like released a year ago. Even down to the orange sky and pulling down of a statue.
Oddly enough. . . they released this little tidbit on Tim Pool's Birthday. So weird. . . Nope, couldn't keep a straight face. A lawyer is on Tim's show right now discussing this.
Hopefully this just turns into some sort of collaboration instead of a rip off. I really respect and like both muse and Tim pool and that would be awesome to see
