They haven't died, they're still releasing albums, and I just saw them 3 months ago! They're also 1 of 2 long running British bands left. Go to the SHOWS! The other band I saw 2 months ago is The Cure; now in the rock and roll hall of fame. I can't wait to see MUSE achieve that! It was so sad that Linkin Park ended; MUSE and LP were formed around the same time too. Foo Fighters went recently. The pandemic is over! Don't resort to streaming pop, rap, or TIC TOC artists; otherwise, rock WILL DIE! ☠️ Learn to play an instrument or teach your kids what we did before this stupid internet! I'm glad I'm Generation X; but, worried about my kids and their kids now...
Actually I've seen so many bands that sound better live than on their album. But this recording definitely was a masterpiece and a video we watched so many times back then!!!!
2:05 to 2:18 is probably my favorite 13 seconds of live Muse ever. Out of nowhere going from screaming that hard, as intensely as is possible, back to normal seconds later and for the rest of the song. That's singing with some serious emotion from somewhere deeper. A gem, as is this entire performance.
Saying the hat is fail is ridiculous. THE HAT IS PURE WIN!!!!!!!1 The way he takes to an old tradition by removing it at the end of an amazing performance is awesome.
Este fue el primer video que vi de Muse en el año 2001 desde ese entonces no he dejado de escucharlos me han acompañado toda mi vida ahora tengo 31 años de edad
I've only been a Muse fan for a couple years, i've seen them twice this year but its just devastating knowing that i will probably never get to see this early music live :( While their newer stuff is great, this song just chills me to the spine, seeing this, or the pure intensity of hyper music or energy of sober would just be so much better than anything they play these days, imo.
I wonder if they ever fished that guitar out of the sea or if there's this spot just off the coast of France with a guitar and a bunch of amps lying at the bottom of the sea.
gosh, i love them so much. So glad this video is still up here :) still love their newer stuff - even though their music keeps changing and evolving. I love that they are always trying out new sounds. That's why i like them
Whoa! I just noticed. Chris has an Ampeg? There's also a video of Matt grabbing a lucky girl's hand, and she had a similar hat. And, I also finally got started on my MUSE space on Quora titled of course "Controlling my feelings for too long." Later Musers! 💕
Love watching their early stuff - they always go absolutely nuts and trash everything, its great. I miss the craziness! I think its why a lot of people now don't think Muse are that great - they haven't seen the early stuff to get the whole picture.
this is my favorite song ever! The best muse song for me! When i do the final scream with matt...i find freedom, i wish they can play this on a stage again! I would love to be there and give my life for that!
Hello! Correction! This is not the band's first gig after renaming, it is not even an actual gig. They were invited by a French TV show called "Nulle Part Ailleurs" (Canal + channel) during the Festival de Cannes, that's why they're by the Mediterranean sea (Canal + headquarters being in Paris the rest of the year). That's what they used to do on that show: everyday they would invite a band to perform one or two of their songs and it was awesome!!!! (Nirvana, Korn, Muse several times...)
tbh they named themselves muse in 1994 after the release of the muse ep, the only other names they had before that were the rocket baby dolls which they used only for battle of the bands and they played as gothic plague which was kinda post grunge muse :P
What a great First performance under that name. Well actually one of their best!!!! So beautiful even when he screams at the end of the chorus the first time. Absolutely Incredible!!!! Most Beautiful Mucisians in the World!!!!!
