not just a guitarist... Tsuneo Imahori also composed and arranged the whole Trigun soundtrack. he's one of the greatest composers of our time and has such an unique and recognizable style... one can immediately know a song is from him :)
This and Trigun's OST was written by Tsuneo Imahori. Tsuneo Imahori is part of The Seatbelts, the band that did the music for Cowboy Bebop. Imahori also did the OSTs for Gungrave and Hajime no Ippo and they are fking awesome!
The whole Trigun OST is filled with stuff that would make great ones to check out. Besides the ending theme song, Big Bluff is a good one for percussive stuff. KNIVES and YELLOW ALERT is also good, and Scattered Rain is definitely one of the most emotion packed of the bunch, imo.
Don't forget Blood & Thunder and Winners speaking of percussive stuff. Also for the guitar skills for me Fool's Paradise wins big time and, of course, Rakuen, that one gets me everytime and wets my eyes.
I remember being 9 years old and hearing this intro for the first time. I begged my parents to buy me an guitar and they did. This song still gives me the same chills when im listening or playing it as it did back then. God i love this song.
Totally has a strong vibe of Led Zeppelin "In my time of dying" definitely got lots of love for both songs! Love your breakdown. I never even registered mentally the bongo in this!
When you said the bongo's were hauling arse I couldnt stop laughing as I imagined Vash doing just that. Like in the clip he is sprinting down a hallway dodging bullets all the while trying to keep hold of his lunch and avoiding getting shot from the hundred people trying to kill him outside. It sums up the story quite well. He is a being that could annihilate them all with pure ease, but he would rather scream like a girl and haul arse out of trouble like a coward and chase after the pretty ladies that he sees "chasing the mayfly of love".
I literally just learned how to play this the other week. Trigun has done great music in general. You should look into some of the other songs used in the show. I learned this and 2 others.
Yo man I love your videos I think you should make one about flashback by MIYAVI it's an opening song for an anime called kokkoku it's very funky and unique and the bass is on point I think you will love it.
Looking into it, it seems like the guy who wrote this, Tsuneo Imahori, is a guitarist who says he was inspired by Brit-rock and lists Frank Zappa and Andy Patridge in particular
@@DrumRollTonyReacts I know this is a bit late, but the version you listened to is in fact the version that was edited down for the opening of the series. The soundtrack has the full version, and you can find it pretty easily on youtube. It's still just as funky as this version, though, it's great! The composer for Trigun is SO GOOD!
What a cool throwback listening to this for the first time in years! Unbalance na kiss wo shite and Hohoemi no bakudan from yuyu is probably the oldest anime OST, then there is cruel angel thesys from NGE, all of those I still listen to weekly and they all still have a foot in the 80's vibe in my opinion, it is really cool. Logos Naki World from Hellsing is also super awesome and I never see people talking about it, despite being a decade or so newer than the other ones I mentioned it is still over 20 years since its release. If I had to chose one for you to react to, this one would be it! Thanks for the content as always, have a great week!
The artist's name is Tsuneo Imahori. He also did the opening for Gungrave and the 3rd opening for Hajime no Ippo, if you wanna check those out as well.
Who needs inspiration when you can get the actual guitarist!? As is the case for ex-Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman, who has lived in Japan for a couple decades now. He performed with the idol group Momoiro Clover Z for the opening to the anime Bodacious Space Pirates in 2012, and again with the same group for the opening to Sailor Moon Crystal in 2014. He's collaborated with a bunch of other artists in Japan, but those two anime openings really stick out to me since I heard them a lot when those shows were airing.
react to Outlaw Star OP....it's basically Trigun OP with lyrics...also Ride on Shooting Star(FLCL), Tactics(Samurai X), Real Folk Blues(Cowboy Bebop), xXxholic 1st OP
One of the most beautiful songs in the history of anime. The Vision of Escaflowne: MAKE NO PROMISES Opening: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s4FnAOg6N5c.html FULL VERSION: "Better" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4VfU4A0Qs6M.html (This was the opening song for Maya Sakamoto's career and maybe the song that put her where she is right now) This song has been translated by the FANS in English and Spanish.!!!
At 1:14 that little part has the exact same notes as "In my time of dying" by Led Zeppelin. If it wasn't for you pointing the Led Zeppelin guitar tone I wouldn't have caught it lol
Hey Tony. This was one of the shows that came out around the same time as Cowboy Bebop. I was jamming to this and also Evangelion at one point. Thanks for the vid.
You should def react to more from trigun and cowboy bebop, both ost’s are legendary. Matter of fact add in the FLCL ost as well , that one is done all by one band is they are amazing as well
Berserk (the '97 series) has a great OST, with Guts' theme being a standout. I can't really say I'm a fan of the opening, but all of the other music I thoroughly endorse. I know you've done a grip of HunterXHunter openings, but the track "Kingdom of Predators," is absolutely stunning.
oh hell yeah HT is an awesome bit of guitar playing. it's not hard per sé but like (totally different genre) the trooper, you have to lock in and KEEP IT THE HELL GOING, that's what burns you.
Some of the best OST are the ones Joe Hisaishi composed for Studio Ghibli anime movies. About openings and endings of older animes here are some suggestions: Alones - AquaTimez (Bleach OP - 2007) Melissa - Porno Graffitti (FullMetal Alchemist - 2003) Gekido - UverWorld (D-Grayman OP - 2008) Shut up and explode - Boom Boom Satellites (Xam'd Lost Memories - 2007) 1/3 junjou na kanjou - Siam Shade (Rurouni Kenshin/ Samurai X ED - 1998) Shonen Heart - Home Made Kazoku (Eureka Seven OP - 2006) Hologram - Nico Touchs the Walls (FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood OP - 2004) rolling1000toon - Maximum The Hormone (Air Master ED - 2003) Stray - Steve Conte (Wolf's Rain OP - 2003) Alumina - Nighmare (Death Note ED - 2007) Sign - Flow (Naruto Shippuden OP -2010)
The conposer of this song is tsuneo Imahori, who Also did a instrumental song for Opening 3 of Hajime no Ippo. The OP 2 of ippo show up of one of the multi anime openings vídeos, i dont know why, cause of All 3 Openings of the First anime of Hajime no Ippo, OP 2 is the weakest. Check the OP 3 in the future.
That opening is actually a minor remix of Franz Ferdinand’s “This Fire”, so he may be familiar with it already. A lot of the other soundtrack that were made specifically for the game/anime are definitely worth a listen though
I dunno if anyone has told you this already but you should react to the Xenoblade series of games' OST. They are some of the best in gaming along with Nier. From Xenoblade 1 the greats are Main Theme (Title Theme), Engage the Enemy, You Will Know Our Names, Unfinished Battle, Mechanical Rhythm, Colony 9 (Day and Night).
Amazing video! I love ur breakdowns but in your spare time you should check out Yukako’s theme- Crazy in love (more jjba). I wouldn’t make a video in it because not many people know of it, but it’s absolutely fire and underated! Definitely suggest!
You should react to Gurenge full song studio version, Kigeki - full song MV version, You Say Run - full song, Silhouette - Kana boon, Asian KungFu Generation songs used in naruto anime, Wagakki Band - Homura + Akatsuki no ito, One Ok Rock - We Are
