These interviews with people in the business are so valuable. It helps so much how the business works. Thank you for all the work you do. There are many channels with “best tips” for musicians but few actually show you the inside side of the industry.
Some useful information was provided in this interview here. More confirmation that there is plenty of opportunity for talented, independent composers to make a living writing music.
Thank you for inviting Amphibious Zoo Music, it was great to hear his insights on sync licensing and the industry as a whole. Now that it is after Covid-19, things have changed. Now, also with the union strikes that are happening, it does make a difference to the companies who depend on the film/tv production to provide a service. 🙂
Could a possible reason that composers move on, is that the library could not place any songs for a year or two? Did you guys discuss that possibility? It must be the composers just flaking out if they stop submitting music.
Thank you for the amazing content❤️ Do you think it would be worth mentioning in your email pitch that you’ve worked with other libraries also? To maybe show reliability:)
Thank you so much for this presentation. It is very informative. One question. He mentions buying albums/tracks. Is Michael referring consideration fee with sync fee and royalties or just out right buying the music with no further profitability for the writer/composer/producer?
Hey Jesse Why would a music library like this one has a studio? Is it because the quality of the demos that they are getting are not up to standard and they have an in-house engineer to remix them to a better quality or is it because they need to create new music for briefs, or both? Thanks so much!
What audio file formats are preferred for submitting? 16 bit, 24 bit, 44.1khz, 48 kHz, 96khz? Mono, Stereo, 5.1, 7.1, 7.2 Surround? In other words, in your experience, what is necessary and what is preferred? Thanks!
Stucky Kojo here, Sound Designer and Audio Engineer from Ghana. I would like to know if there are great sync opportunities for music from this side of the world, Africa. There are so many great original sync-type music from this side, what's the best way to get them through to top opportunities?
