Btw there are many sad moments in the Anime. One Piece is the only anime where i cried+i cried multiple Times there.

I think you can definitely remember every character cause every single character has a impact in the story and every single character has a unique personality

Yeah for someone who watch the series since the early 2000's. The anime is one of the best that I have ever since. Laughs and tears goes along the way.

One Piece is the first and only Anime that had me crying like I got my ass whooped by my mom when I did something wrong, but on a serious note, One Piece is one of the best anime in anime History, it's super long, so some people end up binge watching it to get a good distance. One thing I love about One Piece is the progression, not just the story progression, but the progression of the Animation, Graphics and Visuals, the first few Hundred Episode of One Piece you see the Animation being a bit old school, but eventually you start seeing how the Animation evolve and get better.

You somehow managed to not notice all the dark moments and clues shown in the openings. Believe us when we say that this anime gets very dark several times and gets pretty serious. It covers top is such as grief, death, poverty, racism, slavery, corruption, and more. You have no idea bro. You gotta watch it. ALSO SIDE NOTE: several of the “bad guys” are pretty evil beings, notably one main dude.

Fun non spoiler facts: Oda (the creator of One Piece) said that the One Piece world is as big as our Sun! Also the tallest living thing(as far as we know) is over 35k/21.75mi! That's like if it was standing in the deepest part of our ocean it would still be much taller than our biggest mountain. The world of One Piece is so vast and has SOOO many varieties to it. You should watch "The Breathtaking World of One Piece" by Strawhat V. It has no spoilers besides just how cities, islands, and animals look.

This is actually one of the most deceptively sad/emotional shows I've ever watched. I cried during some episodes.

There's plenty of plot twists in this. The author has had hints of things that don't come up until hundreds of chapters later. I mean, if you look back, you can see a character in the background, only for him to become relevant about 500 episodes later in a major way. And the series has countless examples of this.

OP 13 is my favorite still to this day. Love the song and the structure of the OP is amazing. Build up, shows the gravity of the situation, first chorus gives us the allies, and closes the 2nd chorus with the enemies

It's always funny watching people react to these and even through they show Chopper changing forms several times, they can't figure out what is going on with Chopper and why he keeps looking different. Also, him talking about not saying Luffy's name right while Luffy's name is literally being shown on the video lol

There are so many characters but the anime and writing makes it so every character has a significant enough impact that you at the very least recognize them and their role. Names aren’t too hard to remember too.

the little Reindeer (kudos on guessing his species right, so many dont at first glance.) is Tony Tony Chopper, i cannot say too much without getting too spoilery.. but just to be clear he is the Straw Hat's Doctor.

One piece openings seem funny and goofy, but the story and events are really deep and some may be compared to the real world

1018 episodes currently, it is good all the way through with a lot of plot twists and world building pay off its worth watching even if you don't catch up

I would recommend you to watch it. This is my fav Anime, there are so much good things in it

Episode 1-4 you’ll understand the main premise of the series and know who the red haired guy is. First 60 episodes and you’ll understand the basic structure of the One Piece world. By episode 65 you’ll see how they have to travel through the world and an added dimension to their goals. From there it’s live free and resolved and accept the challenges and consequences.

one thing i LOVE about One Piece is that it consistently subverts expectation and it builds it's world epically, of all the fantasy worlds i've visited in Animation and Video Games, the world of One Piece is right up there with Middle Earth, if not beyond it. you think that there is no sadness or seriousness but the Anime is surprisingly deep, even the villains have compelling backstories from time to time, i've laughed, i've cried, i've gotten angry and i cheered, One Piece makes you feel ALL the emotions! i know it sounds like a daunting journey going over 1000 episodes deep into an Anime, but if there was a time to devote to an Anime and you could only pick one, One Piece is the one you should devote to, if you're skeptical, watch a total of 50 episodes, if you arent enthralled by then, you can drop it with no hard feelings.

Oh, there's PLENTY of sad moments in the series. You can expect some sadness in pretty much any arc.

If you want to watch some of it, I'd recommend watching the first 4 episodes. They should give a good enough idea about what watching the show feels like.

you missed two special openings. It's both time the first opening remaked. First one was somewhere between op 7 and 9, it was the first opening with unchanged visuals but the opening was sung by the Crew (everyone which was in the crew at that moment of time). And the spiecal opening for episode 1.000, it does have the same song as the first opening but the visuals and the characters in it have been updated.

I best way to put it is one piece is only fun and adventurous because it’s told through the eyes of luffy and even then it’s much more sad and dark than any Shonen I can think of besides maybe aot, hxh, and death note. The overall world of one piece is VERY dark if it was told through certain peoples eyes I’m not sure if you could call it a Shonen

The black arm of luffy is called Haki. After the timeskipp they learn about haki which can be learned by everyone. There are 3 types but only 2 can be learned by everyone, the third one is something special. The black coating is armament. It enhances your attack and defense, but this is just level one of this category. Other levels are extremely rare and the last stage can be only obtained if you posess the third type of haki, this enhances armament. Then there is the observation haki. It lets the user sense attacks from enemies, this allows them to dodge attacks easily. But this is only level one. If you are skilled you can develop extra type of observation, for example sense people behind walls or future sight. The third type is still not fully known, but its called "conquerer haki", level one allows you to knock out much weaker people than you are around you, the effectivity is always individual. This is a very rare type. All haki types are powered by your will, but it seems that you can run out of haki, even if you still have a great will. After a certain level you can only enhance your haki types if you fight stronger people than you are or people that gives you a hard time.
