look up these three traditional instruments: Hae-geum (fiddle like with 2 strings played with bow), gayageum (large string instrument - can be plucked or played with bow), Danso (bamboo flute)
Joey (Lucky Boy) Nato - If you do a search and Google Korean traditional instruments it will pull up photos of them with their to complicated names that I'm not even about to spell out here as well as what more familiar instruments they might resemble! There are a few to check out! It might totally interest you (or not)!?😵👍😎🐥
@@JoeyLuckyBoyNato ABSOLUTELY!!! THEIR SUCCESS IS DEFINITELY WELL DESERVED!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GIVING THEM A CHANCE AND TEACHING US ABOUT THEIR TECHNICS WITH YOUR KNOWLEDGE! it doesn't go unnoticed and we really appreciate it! 💜
This is a diss track. I think they used some korean instruments in between > like this one > ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IeHBVYDVrrE.html Although Overall i think it sounds closer to chinese music than korean . Suga in one of the producers he likes to experiment with new sounds a lot . Lyrics by the 3 BTS rappers as usual . The word play they wrote is complex and very interesting- This is a little summary>> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fdJl1SL03Ac.html
I'll be honest, I had a feeling you might not know the instruments, but this time I asked for it too just cause I wanted to see you get blown away by ddaeng. You couldn't miss out on this song . That said I do like how much I learn from your reactions. How about BTS Not Today or Don't Leave Me or I'm fine next time. (And I've been watching for a while so I know you know you're stuff. I also knew you'd be humble about learning new things, so don't worry I won't be one of your 5000 unsubscribers)
This is so funny. Jpearl and Suga produced Ddaeng. The lyrics are amazing, you won't understand it until you watch an explaination video tbh. Translators had to invastigate and talk with each other bc of the world play they used on this one jajaja i love them
As for the use of Asian instruments in this song, it was meant to be a rebuttal to the haters who claimed BTS had become too westernized. They even performed the song in traditional Korean clothing. One of their new songs, Idol, even has elements of Korean culture in the lyrics and the music video to once again tell off the haters who say they've become westernized and lost sight of their roots.
@@JoeyLuckyBoyNato The word play with the word Ddaeng and how it means multiple things in this track is actually really awesome. Definitely look at the explaination video
@@JoeyLuckyBoyNato they sure are detailed and hardworking. Please keep paying them attention! They don't disappoint. I don't know much about production but i've seen interest in the production of Singularity, the Trivias (Just Dance, Seesaw, Love), First Love... Idk I think you could talk about almost all their songs, specially from albums of the last three years (Wings, Love Yourself series)
The lyrics to this song are something else. You don't have to react to it but I suggest watching 'DDAENG Explained by a Korean' (channel: DKDKTV) in order to understand what they're saying. Just letting you know, but DDaeng is used in seven different ways throughout the song, they're lyrical geniuses. Thanks for reacting to this! By the way, in case you're wondering about who worked on the song: Produced by SUGA, J.Pearl, RM, J-hope Keyboard - J.Pearl Synthesizer - J.Pearl Additional Production - Supreme Boi Recording Engineers - SUGA, RM, J-hope Mix Engineer - Yang Ga Mastering Engineer - Yang Ga J. Pearl was in a different kpop group (now disbanded) but continues to produce, Supreme Boi is a producer who's well known to work on several bts tracks, I'm not sure on Yang Ga but I'm sure he's one of the many producers under BigHit :)
You know I feel like your super pressured because we recognize you as a producer who knows things but we understand that it’s impossible to know everything. This is especially a new area, western producers don’t typically use eastern instruments or know it. I like how your interested! And from all the other videos your reputation is solid we know you know your shit AND we also know you have areas which you haven’t touched so it’s fine! Thankyou for enjoying it ;)
Thank you for that!! & yeah I love being schooled honestly and learning new things.. that's how we all grow!!! And if you're not growing, then what are you doing?!!!!!
For a moment I was like "hold up, hold up. Someone get this impostor off the premises- " ok just kidding my first thought was "did he take anything before filming?" xD
Thank for reacting to this and also for being so honest hahaha Part of the beauty of it is seeing your true reaction and enjoyment of the song! A half self written/produced hip hop song using traditional Korean instruments! It’s just beautiful that they got millions of people to perhaps learn a bit more of their culture! Anyway! Others have already suggested it, but I’d love to hear your reaction to ‘Lie’! It’s a solo song sung by Jimin and it’s not only very beautiful, I once saw some classical musicians react to it and they were all shocked by its tempo and change between major/minor cords? Don’t know if I’m saying that right! Hahahaha
Fun fact: The genius behind this song is "BTS Rap Line" (jhope, suga, rm) they produce and composed this song as a gift for army and also to celebrate their 5 year debut, that is why you can't find at the album, because they upload it at soundcloud so army can download it for free.
Lmao y'all are something else y'all love to discredit yoongi so much well news for you yoongi is the main producer and j pearl co- prod RM and jhope didn't participate in the produce go see the credit
Thank you for listening to BTS. This is a song to answer the hatter, the song is very difficult to understand.Instead of cursing, the three used puns in the song. It is very special from the lyrics to the music. If you're interested, check out the video explained below.I am sure you will be surprised by the talent and intelligence of the three of them.
one of the reasons why i love BTS is that they are adventurous to try new things in their music. Basically the instrumental sounds of this song is inspired by Asian cultures. Highlight of this song is of course it’s sarcastic lyrics
Dont worry, you have never failed me, great video again! You dont have to know everything from different cultures, lol! They have 3 new song from the rappers, Just dance (J-Hope), Love (RM) and Seeesaw (Suga). Maybe check those out, more familiar sounds there!
your face at the end 😂 sorry we didn't mean to put you in the spot, we just wanted you to discover the beauty of bts' work. they basically do everything.. from hip hop to rap to r&b to literally everything else in music and they well, do it well. Just keep doing these reactions please, I love them!! oh & a great song of yours! Can't wait to hear it when it's out!!
*HERES ALL OF THE INSTRUMENT THEY USED* correct me if im wrong. 1:58: It is Erhu 2:22: The string instrument in the left sound is a Pipa and i think its the same in the right 2:48: That instrument is called Bandura 2:57: Again the string in the background is Pipa 3:14 and 3:58: It is Chinese Percussion 4:54: The string in the background is Pipa 5:56: Its the same instrument its Erhu
If they only used Korean traditional instruments, it will be wrong..... Bc Erhu,Bandura is not a Korean traditional instruments. I think Pipa or Ga ya geum Erhu ☞ Hae geum (differ slightly) Bandura ☞ ..?? ...Gayageum or pipa....?? (; ^ ; ) And Flute ☞ Danso or So geum(high pitch), Dae geum(low pitch)
Whatever yoongi produces always has some exceptional elements to shook you. He’s really versatile. Surprises me that he still hasn’t taken producing projects outside of BTS.
suga is the producer of bts, and the songs can be composed both by the members, since the bts there is a lot of creative freedom. definitely suga is the best producer of korea
it's just amazing, thank you❤ i recommend you see this video, here they explain about the meaning of the song ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fdJl1SL03Ac.html and this other video, it's like a behind the scenes of the song and part of its preparation for its presentation(with English subtitles) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pcRyT7IpG2M.html pd: sorry if it's too much 🙈
I thought youd enjoy this because its way out there compared to what youd hear on the western radios (i live in europe my self ) and i love how they mix traditional instruments and style with rap. So didnt recommend to school but rather for you to hear something interesting and different that could be fun for you :) really like your reacts keep it up i learn alot from you!
Suga (one of the three rappers), composes 90% of the groups music. They all work together on the lyrics but Suga makes the tunes. All credit to Suga for the sweet tunes!
exactly that's why i love this song so much cuz the music itself is worth paying a lot of attention too. our boys did so well in both lyrics and music this time
I'm so glad I found your page. Because of you I'm listening to parts of BTS music that I never paid attention to. Most reactioners just focus on the voices. So I'm loving what I'm learning from you by listening to what's going on in the music. It's giving me an even greater appreciation for what they do. Love you man.....Keep it up.
"its okay not to know things"...absolutely right...we are all learning so much with BTS....and I gotta say I am loving the intro to your new song...will b jamming to it once it drops...
Give it to me also have really different types of instruments like a harp, violon, a church bell? I think? idk, all I know is Yoongi is really creative and doesn't give us the typical pop/Kpop sounds with his music
He's too worried about it. Its such a small.thing they are instruments they are way different in sound but they are still either percussion, wood wind or etc
This song is full of asian elements..it is quite natural not to know..well being in asia i dont know what they used..yes thats a hard hitting truth.. But i think it is cool you reacted to it cz its an incredible song and i think you definetly gonna search what sounds all thoses 😄 cz this music gets hooks up in brain for so damn looong.. 😅
Your channel it's growing so fast. I really see why. You're different to the other reactors, even if u don't know the instruments, your comments are still interesting, plus you're funny, so your reaction is always good. Thank u. Oh, and welcome to the BTS world , where everything can break your head in a few seconds, literally.
I love how shocked you get by bts' songs omg thank you so much, I enjoy your videos a lot and you make me learn a lot of things of their songs in which I didn't pay attention before!
Its also good to note that this was a free song they put on soundcloud for the fans. There is a small video online where you see them mixing a d producing and practicing
This.. Is actually my new fave reaction series, I find it fascinatingly different from the "usual" reactions to Kpop in general. Which is probably why I'm watching these at 2am still. Def subribed.
As a fan of this channel, I actually like that you made this video a lot, it's okay to not know something and just admit it, this reaction has nothing less than any other videos, honesty is key, and the channel is still super dope and educational, so, it's a thumbs up for me
Ddaeng is like a curveball, you don't know it until it hits you. I knew you were unprepared for it and I loved to watch you so surprised!! That's how Army feels most of the times when we listen to BTS music for the first time. We don't know what's happening and it always involves a lot of research 😂😂
I really enjoy watching you use a producers view to explain music of bts its completely fine not to know everything cause nobody knows everything but please keep doing videos like these. I also love how if you dont know something you admit it instead of trying to bluf because it makes your videos real. Keep going
a young producer whos friends with bts' suga produced this !! his name is j-pearl !!!! he was in a kpop group called HISTORY but they disbanded not long ago i think last year
Hey Joseph.. No worries.. everyone was surprised as well.. This just proves that BTS is so diverse in their music.. They never stop challenging themselves.. And yes..they flaunt their swag in a very unique way.. Looking forward to seeing more of BTS reactions.. And before I forget..try reacting to their old song.. N.O. ..It's a good one. Thanks man.
Rap line goes hard with this song's production. I mean, basically every BTS song has no 'pattern' with one another. Every music is always fresh, if you know what I'm saying.
Bts produces all of their music. With the help of the official producers at bighit. The ceo is a producer too and has a hand but bts always has influence and a hand in these beats. RM has credits with every song, suga is the next biggest producer and jhope next.
I love your reactions to BTS! Helping army understand the songs better by the production helps to appreciate the songs more. Thank you for looking at their work. Can’t wait to hear your new song also!
