Dimash is only 22 here, and he has never stopped his vocal training and education. So just imagine how great he is now. He has increased his range to 7+ octaves. If you would like to see Dimash the musician, no singing, watch "River of Love" in this performance he is playing the Dombra. It is a 2 stringed lute like instrument that is basically the national instrument of Kazakhstan. The music was composed by the gentleman on the keyboard, who is also Dimash's good friend.

Despite Dimash's planned brief presence, his name was intended to be symbolic and understandable to the public. Dimash was given the Chinese name Dimashi and the 3 syllables were assigned Chinese hydroglyphs: ⭐Di - achievement ⭐Ma - precious stone ⭐Shi - dream, wish. This competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". I Am Singer talent show is very different from American Idol. It is not looking for new talents; it showcases outstanding talents in China. It is by invitation only and the contestants are well established artists. Dimash broke viewer records for the tv station with over 600 million views overnight and a loyal fan-base who do all kinds of charities in his name. Pretty amazing how the power of one individual just by being human can bring joy to many people and generate so much generosity, compassion and the desire to give to others in need. I'm a Queen fan, so I delayed listening to Dimash's cover of Queen songs for a while because I was afraid that I would be frustrated. But this performance completely blew me away. I loved everything about it - the arrangement, his singing, his passionate performance. Please continue this journey. His next performances on I'm A Singer are Autumn Strong (Chinese version of Ikanaide that you reacted to - his interpretation is different and to me, I prefer his interpretation of this early version, very haunting), Adagio (you'll love it), Daididau (heavenly beautiful Kazakh folk song), Daybreak, All by Myself, Unforgettable Day (composed by Dimash), Confessa and Diva Dance (the song was sung by an alien in Fifth Element - actually programmed by a computer because it was not supposed to be sung by a human), a Tribute to MJ (Dimash is an MJ fan). I personally prefer Queen's original to Dimash's cover of this song, but I definitely like Dimash's version of Lionel Richie's Hello more than the original. You should totally react to that performance next! I would also suggest Samaltau, Sinful Passion, and Drunken Concubine + Diva Dance with Li Yugang, which is a crazy duet

I love Queen and Freddies voice but I actually like this version of the song better. Another good cover is his version of Hello by Lionel Ritchie, it blew me away 🥰 Another great performance is is cover of Adagio by Lara Fabian. Absolutely destroys you with his emotive singing.

My favorite underrated Dimash performance is Autumn Strong from the Singer 2017. It's the Chinese language version of Ikanaide and extremely stripped down for a Dimash song. The emotion he wrings from it is phenomenal.

Now that you've met Dimash, check out Hua Chenyu. Most people start with Nunchucks. He's maybe not *quite* as good as Dimash technically, but is as good if not better in the performance. Many people compare them, but i don't think you can. They're very different. I love both of them equally. In the mean time, enjoy the journey into Dimash's world. watch Gloria Wu’s channel for his Singer performances for yourself, even if you prefer a different one to use for your reaction, because she has the back stories to all the ones based on a real event, she has English lyrics and she has tweaked something so you don’t get blocked. Freddy was brilliant considering he didn’t really have proper vocal training like Dimash but in voice and technique, even if your prefer Freddy’s style, there is no comparison with Dimash. Their voices are totally different I like that when he has to cover a song (for this contest they were only allowed one original, the rest has to be covers) he doesn’t even attempt to copy it, makes it totally different with ruining it, adding so many extra elements.

I haven't heard in reactions or read in the comments of Dimash cover songs as it relates to the integrity of the "original" versions. In all those I have watched I am struck by what I believe Dimash, his accompanying musicians and his production team, think about this integrity and what seems to be a real "respect" for the original artist's version. Dimash deserves respect himself for this, as well adding the magic Dimash ingredient. I think he is not trying to "own' the original but for many he manages to do so! How can anyone emulate Freddie Mercury, Lionel Ritchie, Celine Dion et al? Dimash seems to manage it with them all!

No se si entiendes español, pero te hago la reacción igual , Este tema es del guitarrista de FREDDY okay el fué lo vió lo escuchó a Dimanh y dijo que lo mejor que a escuchado es esta interpretación y arreglos que Dimanh hizo a su canción, lo que FREDDY cantaba alto pero no le daba el toque que se necesita para una buena interpretación es la opera lírico que Dimanh puso en su arreglos. Bueno en la primera parte FREDDY comienza con una 4/8 Dimanh va haciendo en 3/8 una octava más grave ,porque es sabido que Dimanh va a ir cambiando de octavas, registros, matices, colores de voces constantemente, FREDDY se maneja en 4/8 casi todo el tiempo de la canción Dimanh va haciendo una 3/8 dulce aireada, pasa a 5/ 8 voz de una soprano, rellena todo ,hueco que FREDDY va dejando, voz de cabeza, melismas, fuerza, buen dominio total de aire micrófono esenario, se va de una baja hermosa, a voz de una opera lírica, que sabemos que Dimanh tiene todos los recursos necesarios vocales y acá tienes lo que FREDDY quería hacer de este tema una opera lírico al menos partes ,pues acá tiene este guitarrista que es el autor, lo que quería en su tema En la última parte casi FREDDY por su salud lo hizo sentida pero era por ello y para el público, esa es la interpretación de FREDDY Mientras que Dimanh hizo como lo sabe hacer un doctorado vocalista SOPRANISTA, es lo que Dimanh es hoy y pasando antes por ,profesor de canto vocalista luego licenciado vocalista y ahora doctorado vocalista SOPRANISTA, Dimanh con todos los matices que puso acá se fué a una 6/8 ,puso garra vibratos melismas opera lírico graves, voz media fue a voz de cabeza Fuerza ,dulzor, manejó la canción mucho mejor 👍🏻de que los de the singer pidieron, la manejó a su manera como quizo ,porqué tremendo los arreglos bellos, bravo Dimanh , La otra que quiero aclarar es que no es con krutoy ,como en muchos dicen oooo está el maestro krutoy ,acá ni figuraba ,y en este año 2021 fué solo invitado por Dimanh, bueno tampoco le enseñó la octava número ocho un D/8 Se reacciona diciendo, los registros colores de voces, acá Dimanh si escuchas bien ,te pregunto ,cuantos colores de voces registros hizo? You are doing great. "I'm singer" is not a talent show - it's a competition of the most famous singers in Asia and surrounding countries. Every participant is the best singer in his or her country. Dimash was an invitee and finished second simply because an outsider was not allowed to win this competition.
