If you couldn't tell by my other comments, I'm a huge Zach Bryan fa, lol. I agree it feels a bit unfinished, butthat's because the rest of the story is his own life story. This song is about him and his ex wife. There are numerous references to their relationship, such as how he owned the same '88 Ford Bronco that his wife's father did. They recorded a lot of his music in his basement while they were in the military. They were married after he lost his mother and became addicted to alcohol, which explains all the parts about him only being happy while drinking or drinking to ease his mind without easing hers. Her name was also Rose, which makes that line a double entendre. You could read it as, "stay till the sun rose" or "stay till the sun, Rose". There's more, but I'll save everyone the pain of long internet explanations, lol. His style of incorporating personal details of his life into songs is unique and has benefits and drawbacks. It gives his hardcore fans lots to talk about and disect in his lyrics and makes them much deeper and enjoyable, but casual fans often feel like theres things missing and dont often see the big picture and meaning behind the lyrics. His lyrics are often super poignant and about the struggles of being a man who's made plenty of mistakes in life and the growing pains you go through trying to become the man you want to be

This guy is amazing! I know it’s him as soon as o hear the guitar. Add the emotion he’s able to convey and there’s no one that can touch him. Very, very distinct and captivating!!

I really love this song but am waiting for a Part 2 for the ending. LOL Zach Bryan has become VERY popular! He played at an arena at the end of May in Philadelphia, PA .. which is the closest place to where we are in NJ .. and sold out his show and is coming back for two nights in August to play where the Phillies play and the least expensive tickets are $400! It seems the more popular someone becomes, the higher their ticket prices are to see them live. Lol
