Your daughters room lol....I bet she is the one screaming at you..."Turn that stuff down!!!" instead of the other way around LOL. Nice to know another G Welch fan too :) Fun tour.
You betcha Brandon. It’s not a personal record store like yours but it suits me well. I remember having a Gillian chat with you years ago. She’s so good! Cheers🍀
@@ShamrocknRecords it’s almost 2 hours drive to the shop in Baltimore, then 2 hours back home. Then return to pick it up. I took my Macintosh there to get it fixed kind of pricey
The Spin book on Alternative Music was a Bible for me. It was so influential in so many of my purchases. I need to bring that book back into my collection. You music room is very inviting and nice. What a great space to enjoy music and wake up your daughter. Steve
I have indeed woke up my daughter. Oops. Haha That is a great book. I’ll have to pull it out again. It’s been years since I’ve opened it. Thanks for watching Steve! Hope all is well. Send Kat my regards. Cheers🍀
I was going to say that I found that Pioneer in a dumpster next to a valley where I found my turntable. Hahaha 🤣 But in actuality, Bigfoot dropped it off in a bush in front of my house. Cheers🍀
Awesome tour I gotta say as a music fanatic I never heard of a third of these bands but one festival I went to the Fleah on Randall’s Island in 90’s had Elvis Costello Lucinda Williams and Great Big Sea seen Van many many times great collection love your turn table your taste and your collection Madison is lucky to have such a cool Dad 🍀
Damn, that sounds like one hell of a festival. I still have never seen Elvis or Lucinda. Hopefully one day I’ll get the chance to see them! Thanks for the comment! Cheers☘️
Beautiful music room you have there and that is an awesome autographed Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings poster, very nice. You have some very detailed memorabilia and well displayed, you are to be commended. Thanks for the tour and just subscribed to your channel.
You know, I’ve never seen the movie… I need to watch it. I just love that soundtrack though. A top notch cast of musicians. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! Cheers☘️
@@ShamrocknRecords Your welcome! I was wanting to see different music rooms, and I found your channel. I really like your room, and that receiver that you've had since you were a kid. Some things were just made better back then! I'm gonna subscribe and watch your other videos too! I have a big collection, but it's mostly Elvis, and Paul McCartney albums! With some others from the 60s thru 80s mostly!Anyway, I'm really happy that I found you! Take care! Look forward to talking to you some more!🙂👍
Wow! Your listening room is absolutely mind blowing ! Great memorabilia! I love the movie Backbeat!! I’ve never seen that soundtrack anywhere otherwise it would be mine! A buddy of mine just picked up a beautiful Fluance table like yours I’m totally jealous! I love that you still have your original Pioneer receiver your dad gave ya! That mug is fantastic as Vinyl Richie would say! Man outstanding record collection! So many autographs! One of the coolest room tours I’ve seen! Thanks for letting us in Brian! Peace ☮️✌️👽🤘☮️
Thanks for the comments Brian. It really means a lot. That Fluance table is great. So happy I finally upgraded. It was time. I saved up a bit and figured it would be worth it to stop buying records for a little bit to enjoy my entire collection that much more with a new table. Sometimes we all get so caught up in the buying of records that we don’t think about everything else that goes with collecting. Like the cleaning stuff, the protection, the equipment. Anyway, thanks again! Cheers🍀
The Horde Tour 96' brings back some fond memories. My go-to band was Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Tho all the acts were stellar. Yes, Back-beat soundtrack is a hidden gem along with the movie. The movie captured the Beatles time in Hamburg to the tee. Great energy throughout!
Greetings from Somerset County. Great music room tour. I always enjoy seeing other people’s personal music spaces. Some great stories to go with the collection.
Hey Brian, love the room! Of all the room tours Ive seen, yours is my favourite by far. Its even nicer than mine. Great job man. Love that you’re spinning Backbeat. Great movie. I just picked it up on vinyl back in December.
Very kind words , my friend. I love your room too. I’ve never seen the movie but that soundtrack kicks arse and what a group of musicians on it. Cheers☘️
@@ShamrocknRecords your room has an atmosphere to it. Its like listening lounge. Im proud of my room but its more of an office with music crap in it (because first and foremost I work there). It lacks the atmosphere yours does.
Very nice layout Brian. Comfortable, neat and definitely filled with endless enjoyment. Those collectibles are sharp. Also the ticket stubs. I can surely relate. Thanks for sharing everything. It is clear to see that you and music have a long history together~ Rob/Boston
You know what. I think of you every time I see a ticket stub. I always enjoy when you show yours. So cool. Thanks for always taking the time to comment Rob. It really means the world to me. Cheers🍀
What’s up buddy! You have no idea how badly I wanted to just break out and do a whack a mole during this video. I’m awaiting a 100 whack a mole contest Mazzy! Cheers🍀
Dude,I love it! What you need is a good record cleaning machine- especially when you have so many records. I started out with a SpinClean, which is a fantastic record cleaning device, I had a Record Doctor machine, and now a VPI 16.5 machine which I’ve been using for many years now. Lastly, I just bought an ultrasonic cleaner which I plan on using in conjunction with my VPI. Anyways, that’s how I do it. May seem like overkill, but deep cleaning makes a huge difference. Anyways, my two cents. Happy spinning!
Thank you for your input. I have a spin clean that I’ve had for years. I’ve been debating on upgrading however. Thank you for the comment. Cheers, Brian☘️
Fantastic music room tour Brian. Great space, layout and of course amazing record collection. Really cool you have all that autographed material too! Cheers. Thanks for sharing. / Matt
I love this room/space. It is so you in every corner. Great representation of you , your music, and your passion. I would love to chill here for a few brews and tunes! Loved it brother.
Brian, Thanks for the tour, you've got it set up nicely. Saw a Pernice Brothers CD in your collection, would like to see it on vinyl. Dig the signed items, adds to the collection. Excellent job sir!
I’ve been wanting some Pernice Brothers on vinyl for a long time. I almost bought Scud Mountain Boys a few days ago. It was reissued recently. Thanks as always for watching Ralph. Cheers🍀
Thank you Rob. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I still have some Van records to get but it makes my digging and collecting that more exciting. Cheers🍀
Love it, Bri! About to do one myself and you've got the Pioneer receiver from my childhood! And your Hitachi turntable is nearly identical to the one I grew up with as well, which was the Technics SL-3110. I mean, the chassis is definitely a dead ringer I'd no idea there was another brand/model like it. Learned something new! - Red
Awesome Deer Tick poster and stuff by the show. Love this band. I have a signed poster from their last tour in 2019. Its the one with them dressed up like Wizard of Oz. Caught them in a natural cave in McMinnville TN
You Pioneer receiver looks exactly like my Toshiba receiver that I got in 1978. The Toshiba has been in the garage for the past 25 years. One channel still works.
Hey Brian! WOW! Thank You for the fantastic presentation of "Music Room Tour!" I hope that you can get your PIONEER receiver repaired...it is a CLASSIC! Nice MARANTZ speakers..I would flip the RIGHT speaker on it's other side, so that the BASS speaker is the outer-most speaker, like the LEFT one. Maybe I'm being too picky, you could maybe also take off the speaker grills and turn that little MARANTZ logo plate around so that it's facing horizontally. I'm very happy that you have been providing us with some great content lately, because there was quite a long spell where you had basically left the VC! Please don't make yourself a stranger, as you have one of the most entertaining and informative VC channels! Thank You, again for another fantastic presentation from Shamrockin' Records! PS nice can of CRC electronic cleaner in your cabinet downstairs!! (Ha, Ha) 👍
Great calls on the speakers Thomas. I’m going to try to get those turned. Love that call out. Hope all is well Brother. How’s the guitar playing going? Cheers🍀
You don't define M. Ward by his association with She & Him. I know Zoey Deschanel is more well known, but as a musician she ain't no M.Ward. It would be better to describe him as one quarter of the super group Monsters of Folk. He's actually one of my favorite artists. I saw him for the first time opening for some other band I had never heard of at the Troubadour in early 2002. I was sitting at the bar with my back to the stage enjoying a drink when I heard a song that sounded immediately familiar but at the same time strange but good. I turned around and as I listened I eventually realized he was covering David Bowie's "Let's Dance". It was such a unique take that even when I knew what it was I still thought it was a different song. I listened to the 3 piece band and enjoyed the rest of the set of all songs I'd never heard. When the headliners came on I was not impressed so I went to the bar in the front room and found M. Ward with his band mates standing alone hawking CDs and t-shirts, etc. I really wish I was back into collecting vinyl then (I did as a kid but didn't get back into it until 2005), but I did buy every CD he had (1 Live recorded in France, and his first two solo albums). I talked with them for a while because I don't think many other people came out to buy his stuff. That seemed crazy to me because I instantly loved his unique sound. I got him and his mates to sign the CDs. Since then I've gone to see him anytime he was playing in LA. I drove to San Diego when he was touring for Transistor Radio and I did get him to sign a copy of that album on vinyl. He was still manning the merch table by himself at that point if you can believe it.I saw him with my then GF at LA city college shortly after that and he had a female singer come on stage to do a couple of songs. I had no idea who Zoey Deschanel was at the time, but my GF new her and she was excited. This was still a couple years before the first S&H album. I also went up to Portland a couple times just to see him live. Those where much bigger shows. And one time when I was on Oahu I saw a flyer with him doing a show there that I had no idea about. Unfortunately the show was a day after our flight back to LA. Oh well. I've gotten to see him plenty live but it would have been cool to go to Oahu and just happen to catch an M. Ward show. Loved all your other stuff. Nice collection. Did you get the 10" Astral Weeks form RSD a couple years ago? I wanted to get that but wasn't able to.
Wow! Thank you for that story. And yes, he is probably best known for his Him to the She. I do love those records. But yes, Monsters of folk is amazing. I do own that record. I used to play that a lot when it first came out. I should pull it out and give it a spin. I’m not a big fan of Jim James but I like him on that record. M. Ward is such an underrated guitar player. You know his music much more than I. I only have some cds. And still need to grab his stuff on vinyl. Thanks for the comment and the story. Loved it. Cheers, ☘️
Get that pioneer receiver fixed. It is well worth it and commands a good price. Just discovered your channel. I came , I saw, I subbed. Peace love and rock and roll ✌️
Hey Brian, thanks for doing the music room tour. They are some of my favourite VC videos. I've always loved your connection to everything Celtic, something you and I have in common. I need to do a room tour one of these days. Sláinte!
Dude! You have amazing taste… huge Morrison fan here!!! I am re-doing my music room once i get back from overseas and I have been watching videos to get some ideas. I’ve seen more than a few already and I gotta say, yours is #1 so far! Keep spinning brotha!!!! I can’t wait to get back and do my thing with my music room and collection.
Brian awesome room tour love your setup and you have some killer posters and picture especially that Van Morrison one. Love those Pioneer amps very cool take care. lovellandrew
At first i thought oh no another rich white boy with no taste, but you proved me wrong, great ecclectic collection (gorka???!! Wow). Love the vintage pioneer too!
Well, I’m definitely not rich. Hahaha Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment. I don’t think I’ve ever seen another VC channel show a John Gorka record… hmmmmm…. Makes me wonder. Cheers, Brian☘️
Geez most people would love to just have your living room as their listening room! I will continue to watch and post comment of your actual record room shortly!
Luvin your music room dude. I too have an addiction for those round spinning music makers. My record room is forever changing and constantly being added to. I have been a collector for 50 years and have just finished cataloguing with just over 17000. Do you think I have a problem.... From the land down under 🤩
Over 17,000??? Holy smokes. I think you should make a room tour. I’d love to see it. It’s an addicting hobby. I trade and sell them off to keep my collection mildly tame. I like to keep it around 2000 but I’ve been debating recently if I want to add another shelf. Hahaha Cheers☘️
Just one more shelf..... Lol. I buy to listen and collect. Just luv records. I'm currently looking at having a Saturday night fever dance floor put in. It's such an incredible feeling to chill and just absorb sounds. May do a video one day. Am rather a private person and very rarely comment. Don't do any social media. Really luv that album you were playing. I need to grab a copy. Thanx for replying and keep on groovin... 🤩
Really really cool room man! I thought about doing a room tour of mine but I'm in the garage..lol when you're first coming the garage the washer and dryer in here then my daughter's playhouse , then the last half of the garages for my music. So it's pretty crowded but I enjoy it. You've got some really nice stuff brother man!
I never did one before because I was in my living room at my old house. I couldn’t display anything so I really didn’t have a real space. But any place is a good place! Thanks Rod. Cheers🍀
That’s an amazing room you have there. Black Joe Lewis was booked to play a festival last May a block from my house. You can guess what happened with that. I think I caught glimpse of a Those Darlins album in your “new” box, which I love (just so you know people are paying attention).
Hell yeah!!! I loved Those Darlins. I’ve shown them in a couple videos before. Good eye. Too bad you missed Black Joe. My buddy ended up smoking up with him after the show. Haha Cheers🍀
Hey Chris, thanks for watching buddy. I think I do have taste that most vinyl collectors are not in to. That’s ok by me. I like what I like. Cheers. Brian🍀
Thanks from tour! These are always interesting to watch! What was that "The White Buffalo"? I guess it wasn't White Buffalo (Jake Smith) that I know? Because there was Roadrunner playing, I just have to recommend you to listen also Hurriganes (1974) version from that song. ;) Tales from the Deadwax mug is so cool! I hope he would be more active. mr. FInglish (Bäd English Recs)
really great record room video..love your indie stuff... met Bob Schneider outside the Bodeans show here in Reno.. signed a live Cd....and I am getting a rt85 soon. no need yo mess around with any thing else... could keep writing. but.. will tune in again soon !! I am pretty new in the VC...stop by if you have time... Regards, JT
Is it the double live CD? I had him sign the same cd. Hahaha I highly recommend the RT 85. I researched for a very long time before I bought it. It had everything that I wanted for the price point I was comfortable with. It’s made my records sound amazing. I’ve heard things that I hadn’t heard before. I’ll check out your channel. Thanks for stopping by! Cheers🍀
Hey thanks for getting back to me... yeah I researched it as well.. they are back in stock, so that's what I am getting... really refreshing to see M Ward, and all of the indie bands that you love... I have been down with them, pretty much since day one..
