I won’t pretend to be her spokesperson but I do know her and I believe that the pressure to tour would likely be to much and would conflict with her computer engineering studies which she’s currently pursuing, but I wouldn’t complain if she did release an album cause she is indeed terrific 🎶

I understand what you meant by when you say that she changed. It was like she was singing but not really feeling what she sang. That moment when she finally put her whole self into what she was singing in that moment is what makes her so enthralling to watch. I know that on Spotify you can get singles of her stripped versions. Not sure if she has a stripped album. Thank you so much for reacting to her. It is so great to see someone who knows music intimately feeling and loving an artist who I love as well. I feel like I can connect to this artist better when you talk about her voice and technique. I know next to nothing about music despite once being in choir class for 7 years, but hearing your opinion on her connects me more to her as a listener. If that makes any sense. So, thank you.

The first time I saw this girl was about 5 years ago there was a video of her singing in Arabic and English she was singing " hello " adele song and "kefk Enta " for faieroz with is one of legends in the Arab singers

I think the way I described it was that she was just singing and delivering the song at the beginning, but the last 31 seconds her emotions REALLY bled through and her pain came out, like she was taken back to that moment.

I love your reaction to Faouzia. OK so, from what I understand from an interview, this wasn't about a love interest, it was about 'friends' at school taking advantage of how big her heart is and how invested she was in the relationship she creates. And her Mum told her when she was young that it was going to hurt her, that she inherited that tendency from her and she knew what she was talking about. But of course when you're young you know best, so she kept 'giving away her heart for pennies' and did get hurt. Thought you'd like the background on this. Anyone who remember which interview this comes from, feel free to correct me if I misremembered anything!

This is a song that she wrote based on real experience, that's why its soooo emotional and she gets so in it

Not yet on the full album or stripped album release, we are all waiting for it and yeah I'm the same with both music and books if I really adore them I find a way to get a physical copy to keep and support them through. Currently, she just has a stripped playlist on her youtube along with her singles one, she releases singles rarely but we do get short preview vids of new songs she is working on every couple weeks right now.

I haven't been in a choir in literally 12 years, but when I heard "more, give me more!" I was felt this intense urge to belt LOL

Faouzia writes songs that other people can relate to but this song was her first song that was from her own life. The story behind it is that her and her mom both have eerily similar lives, so her mom warns her about what she’ll go through. The specific thing that she’s warning her about is that she’s gonna have people wanting things from her and she’s going to keep giving and giving until she litteraly has nothing and she’ll get nothing back from it. So this actually happened to her. In middle school she had some toxic friendships and this was what happened.

She was born in Casablanca, Morocco, then moved with her family at the age of five to Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Manitoba before settling in Carman, Manitoba. She speaks English, French, and Arabic fluently!" She's currently finishing her degree in engineering and is a self professed nerd! Hey!! All of her stripped versions are far better than her clipped ones ! She is a vocal gymnast! She is one of the best in my opinion and she deserves to be known! She has multiple songs on Apple Music. You should also listen Davina Michelle she is from Holland and she has a RU-vid channel. She makes cover and original songs and she is also really really good! I give you a big thumbs up from Paris, France!

@Temple Music Academy thought you would like to know that Faouzia has very recently released a Stripped EP across multiple platforms such as Spotify, Apple/iTunes, Soundcloud (and a couple others) with 5 stripped versions of her original songs, plus an extra gem that has been a work in progress for a while. However, on those platforms they are freely accessible, and I haven't heard anything of the EP (or any of her other songs) being released in a CD disc form so we can support her as an artist while appreciating her otherworldly vocals.

You're right, she was phoning it in until the last part where she found her emotions.

She said on her stripped performance back in August that this song is about real-life situations, and her mom warning her not to give so much of herself. There's a video somewhere where she goes into a bit more detail. I'm probably mixing up the stripped performance with the video where she explained more about the song. It's very powerful. You're nice to someone, they use and use you, they thrive on your hurt and tears, only in much more poetic language.

In Faouzia's interview with Genius, she expressed that she's only ever made music for people so they could relate to them. But for her, she couldn't relate to them herself. So she decided to write a song that she could personally relate to. That's probably why it felt like something clicked in her.

I find that an acoustic is always a better choice, but if you have time and would like to hear another work from him, "The Alchemist" is wonderful, as I think he wrote it after he saw an interview with an artist who spoke of how fame has changed their life, but in the wrong way.
