Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He just turned 28 last week. He has been in formal music education and training since age 5. He still trains 3 hrs daily. He has multiple degrees in music and is working on his PHD. He sings 7 octaves in 13 languages and plays 8 instruments. He sings different genres from pop to opera, what he refers to as neo-classical and even raps. Whatever he does its to perfection. Right before covid hit he played a sold out concert in NY to 13,000 and fans came from 68 countries to see him! No other artist could do that. He has a huge worldwide fanbase. Regarding Dimash's range, it happens that he sings both much lower and much higher than this particular song reveals. See (or react to) any performance of "Stranger" for the former and the Gakku performance of "Unforgettable Day" for the latter. Regarding his emotive virtuosity, I've been watching a LOT of Dimash reactions & performances for the past several years, & I've seen both men & women from all over the world shed tears in the face of the raw emotion he conveys in so many songs.
