Prior to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Dimash had sung this song in front of peaceful and adoring audiences in both Russia and Ukraine. He even has stage hands and other associates from both countries. One can only imagine how personally touched he must feel as a result of what is occurring there.

Dimash composed the music and commissioned a Chinese poet to translate and turn his words into Mandarin poetry in 2017. This composition was, I believe, a part of his Masters Degree thesis in composition in 2019. He debuted the song in China in his D-Dynasty concert in Changsha China in 2017 and performed it at his solo concerts until The Story of One Sky, his new work, was debuted in September 23rd, 2022 at his Almaty Kazakhstan concert. His album iD released in 2019 includes War and Peace.

This is an original Dimash composition. He wrote the music but had a Chinese lyricist write the lyrics in Mandarin. It's also one of my favorites from him! I listen to this song in the car really loud and pretend I'm a back up singer. 😂
Dimash had a concert in Kiev, Ukraine right before the pandemic restrictions. When you watch that performance and see the faces of the audience and then realize that all those people have since been displaced, it's so sad. You should consider reacting to one or more of his concerts. Some reactors do it anywhere from two to four parts at a time. I especially love his New York concert because when he speaks to the audience he speaks in English. But Bastau (his first solo concert after his huge success in China), D-Dynasty in Russia, Arnau in Nur-Sultan and his Kiev concert are all wonderful!!

A man recognizing his Dad driving a large commercial van recently uploaded a video he made from across the street. He pulled up to the rear door of a home for the elderly. The entire family including Dimash exited the van and unloaded and carried in back and forth, the entire cargo load, a mountain of boxes and bags of groceries and left. I can't tell you how I felt watching that quiet humble effort. Beloved in Quazakstan for decades of unpublicized no fanfare acts of charity individually and together.

I was so moved I paid no attention and I'm normally not like that. You know how when you're alone, it's quiet and you watch something it can really impact you ? It did. I grew up there, my dad's a petroleum engineer so I was thinking of the quiet dignity of the Kazakh people too. Memories. his family. It was so indicative of them. The man that took it was almost whispering at the same time and it was so personal about them, not wanting them to notice him disturb them being the Aitbaev family on a mutual mission of love but wanting to save It somehow honor them in his heart. It was Quazakstan.

Dimash has appeared in front of a worship and peaceful audience both in Ukraine and in Russia. It has to be devastated by what is happening.
