"It got its title because of the arduous editing that went into the song; it became a monster when it was pieced together in the studio. Said Winter: "When we were editing it in the studio, back in those days when you edited something, you physically had to cut the tape and splice it back together, so it was all over the control room, draped over the backs of chairs and the couch. We were making fun of it, trying to figure out how to put it back together, saying 'Here's the main body; the leg bone's connected to the thigh bone...' Then Chuck Ruff, my drummer, says, 'Wow, man, it's like Frankenstein.' As soon as I heard that, I went, 'Wow, that's it!' The monster was born."

This live version of this song is a total experience. It blew me away the first time I saw it. Edgar Winter is very talented & plays many instruments including keyboards, saxophone & timbales. The title "Frankenstein" refers he fact that the original recording of the song was much longer than the final version & it required numerous edits to shorten it. So they spliced together many different parts.

I saw these guys live several times in the 70s and very early 80s. Guitarist (in white) Rick Derringer is a headliner himself and have seen him many times too. Saw Johnny and Edgar together once. Fun times. Thanks for a fun reaction!

"Hang On SLOOPY" (NOT Sloppy - Easy Typo, No Shade! Also, NOT SNOOPY) was by the band "The McCoys"! I've had the Nickname "SNOOPY" since 1975! I saw Rick at a Small Club in Daytona, back in 2008, I Told him how people say to ME, "Hang On, SNOOPY", and how I just Rolled my eyes at them! RICK said, "Yeah, No Shit! I've been Hearing THAT for 40 Years Too!!" He Signed the Hat I was Wearing> "Hang On Snoopy"!!! I Treasure it to this day!

Here's a new group to give a listen, if interested. "Rare Earth - I Just Want To Celebrate (Live)" (by the channel: Connor Jones) --This song by the American rock band Rare Earth was the lead single on their album called "One World" released in 1971. This was the bands fifth single overall and the song reached number #7 on the pop chart. It also peaked at #30 on the Best-Selling Soul Singles chart. Rare Earth is quite a unique band because they had an uncanny ability to defy categories and could slip seamlessly between two major genres as smooth as butter and those were classic rock and R&B, they would leave you scratching your head while bopping along in pure pleasure.
