Only mer bb King who knew that elvis could be a perfect blues man why not he is from Mississippi tupelo yeas he is the blues man he can sing blues then anybody yes he did...thank you for this version 74 live but the best one is in 77 you should hear I it's crazy
Great reaction John and I am sure your rendition would have gone down well in Beale Street Memphis. When Elvis was not going to be officially filmed or recorded, he often let loose as in this instance, and in various fan shot amateur films.
This sounded different than anything I've ever heard from Elvis. I'm so proud of you John. You are wonderful to listen to and certainly to look at. You are beautiful in so many ways 😅
YUP THE MAN COULD SING ANYTHING AND JAMES COULD SET THE GROOVE ALONG WITH RONNIE LIKE NO ONE Listen to that piano set wow with James They had a solid groove in this set Look out James John want your job hahaha
Wow I've never heard this version before he sounded great as always love it love him😘😍❤❤ you sounded great also👏👏👏👏👏 thank you for another great reaction.
@@johngibsonmusicI like your blues version John! That's another genre of music Elvis was fire in! You only get to hear him in studio sessions but OMG! Why he didn't put out some blues recordings I don't know! Wait, I Do Know, and the names are RCA and Tom Parker! RCA never promoted Elvis like they did their other artists. I don't now or ever will! They were a failing music company until they signed Elvis and made millions and Still are off of him! Tom Parker didn't understand the genius of Elvis talent and just looked for a quick buck. He knew nothing about the music business and also held Elvis career back by keeping him from getting hit songs, because he demanded songwriters put Elvis name on songwriting credits, which meant their royalties were cut in half. The half Elvis would receive He got half because he took 50percent of Elvis earnings! He had Elvis sign 5 year movie contracts where Elvis had no say on what kind of movies he was put in, because it was a million dollars per picture up front. Cheap mediocre pictures that grossed 3× that so they ( movie studios) could make a couple million dollar pictures with someone else! Then Pricilla And Parker screwed Elvis over by putting him in a position where he sold his catalog up to that point for 5 million of which Pricilla got 1.5 million and 5% of Elvis future music earnings and his businesses including EP Eñterprise! Elvis only got 1.5 million out of that deal! His estate would be making millions from them to now in residuals from 23 years of his music career! Graceland would never have come close to being on the auction block for back taxes when he died! Remember Pricilla was still getting $40,000 for spousal support and $35,000 for child support after Elvis died. Just before he passed Pricilla was taking him back to court for More money, but he passed before that happened! The fans raised money and paid the back taxes and saved Graceland from the auction block. Also before Vernon Presley passed it was His idea to open Graceland to the public, Not Pricillas! She has gotten very rich off of Elvis and his name. Tom Parker made more money than Elvis when he was alive, taking 50% of his earnings and his side deals Elvis didn't know about plus the same perks Elvis received from hotels and movie studios! Out of Elvis money, Elvis paid his body guards musicians and backup singers etc. as well as gave them all bonuses at the end of his stints in Vegas and tours as well as paid transportation costs. He also had alot of people working at Graceland he had to pay. He cut back on expenses by selling some of his properties and his beloved ranch to save money as well as some of his help because of finances. But even when he passed he still had 100 people on the payroll! That's why even with his health so bad, people told him to take time off and get healthy, his answer was "I have too many people depending on me" That's also why he started overuse of his medications, to keep going! His health was awful and he was in a lot of pain. I've seen him use those inhalers for breathing just before going on stage! He performed running high temps and had to be hospitalized right after 3 times in the last year of his life! I'm positive he had warning signs of his heart problems but never told his Dr. Elvis was such a private person that he never even discussed his health issues with those closest to him, including his constant companion and cousin Billy nor his father. Everyone around him could see his health was failing and were concerned, but he would blow them off. His manager saw and didn't care!
Ugh.. I was hoping to SEE Elvis sing this during the Aloha from Hawaii concert. I know you said it was blocked and taken down.. that's too bad.. it hits different when you actually see him PERFORM the song.
Hi John, i liked your reaction to "Steamroller Blues", i even liked your attempt on the ghuitar afterwards, keep up the good work, maybe you could react to "Welcome To My World" (1973.)
Hi John. This is pure Magic for my ears. All instruments so clear and perfect. And Elvis Wao Wao . I wish he could have made an album with just rythm soul blues Thanks John God Bless You. ❤
Very good version but I much prefer life version. To see Elvis performing is heartwarming. You sounded great playing guitar. Check out Anyway you want me from the 1968 comeback special. The jam session with his original band shows Elvis can really play guitar. He looks like he was having a good time.
Hi John, great version by Elvis … a lot looser than usual and I really enjoyed your short version too. I think you should treat us to a full version of the song. Your voice really suits it.
Great performance and a great son, love when Elvis did songs on the fly and especially someone called it up from the audience. So much blues in this soing, the band sounded brilliant and especially James Burton. Great sound from this show. Love your reactions and wish you would pick up the guitar more and belt out a few Elvis tunes I know others would love to hear. Thanks
This is James Taylor's song on his first successful album Sweet Baby James from 1970. Elvis picked up on it as a good song for him for his stage act in Vagas and concerts. James Taylor's version is quite good.
Wonderful musicians, as ever Elvis is brilliant and puts a different sound to this version to the alpha from the 1973 version. Great bit of jamming at the end 🤗
Hi John, never heard this rendition. It's cool, different to the Aloha version. The instrumentation is closer, but in my opinion Elvis is more chanting, while at the Aloha version Elvis is more singing. Liebe Grüße von Sven 👋
Happy Thanksgiving John and God bless and I love that version I don't know if that's the version I've got to warn my CDs but I love that version you take care and have a blessed Thanksgiving you and your family
I wonder why they wouldn't let you play the one performing on stage? It's fire! He really has fun with it! He gets a kick out if how the females react and teases them with his movements.😂😂
YESSSSS thank you for playing this but there is a live version of Elvis singing this and it sounds better without the distorted unbalance music sound, listen to the live version. Wow by the way you have a nice singing voice I have to check your music out, I'm a professional singer song writer played all over with show bands and sang with The Happenings and Natalie Cole. Many Blessings of Light and Happy Thanksgiving!!
@@deerhealer6193 i'm not computer savvy either but the 1 thing i know is when i watch a video i look @ top to see what the website address is & i copy it so that i can go back into it again or add it into the comments section for a reactor if necessary; as you're no doubt aware there can be so many versions of each song that he did that it could be tedious & even then might not be the correct one -- this is why i keep a list of website addresses -- thx
great to see u enjoy so much of elvis I have a suggestion for u ..... you will be the first to do this ... A reaction to elvis presley from the album love letters from elvis the song; LIFE its a gospel and man if its great... good luck to you from holland Marco
Nice to see you on your guitar & to hear your singing voice. Question: do you find that playing & singing after listening is a help in your musical endeavor?
I like this one, but I've heard a better vocal one from Elvis than this one. But they are all good. Great singing and playing John. How's your new music been doing?

I saw your reaction 1st time Feb 22nd 2024. YOU were good. But I wish it was the Aloha From Hawaii version you reacted to. Because this one didn't sound nearly as good to react to!
