A voice from outer space - unbelievably beautiful. Never can one get tired of this classy song! His voice is just PERFECT to sing any type of music. It is WOW John!

NOBODY can match Elvis! Give him a ballad or a rocker. He would nail it 100%! I suppose thats why he was called The King.

This is my first time hearing this song! And as always Elvis sings it with feelings and so much passion!! Thank you GOD for giving him to us for a short time!!

The only way I can describe Elvis songs is that they're so powerful they go right through you, and on the way they touch your heart and your very soul. When you hear an Elvis aong it usually stays with you for a very long time and you always want to hear more. Most of us fans can't ever get enough. I've probably heard every Elvis song at least a hundred times over, but when it's played again, it's almost like I'm hearing it for the very first time. Elvis is truly timeless and it's all kinda weird how much his music affects you...Weird but always GREAT !

Fully agree it is so hard to describe Elvis’s voice. It so full of air, but still powerful and with a passion and felling that is indescribable. He was unique, the one and only. He always seem to sing straight to my heart. ♥️

I listen to 24 hr Elvis radio. They played this song several times this week. Amazingly gorgeous song. Vocals are untouchable. Elvis was a genius.

Nice comments. I've been an Elvis fan for over 65 years . This is on one of my very favourite albums . I don't know if it's an age thing but his beautiful ballads move me to tears some times . They are just beautiful. My wife who is not an Elvis fan says . Elvis put so much feeling into his songs as if he is singing about himself. So very true.

Once you become an Elvis fan you'll be hooked for good. I try to compare some of the greatest vocalists of all time Roy Orbison , Bon Jovi , etc. and I just can't get my ears around them and I start listening to Elvis again simply because he is the best no one can match his talents. Simply perfection cannot be improved.

Just another of his great songs. Its hard to have a favorite, because so enjoy them all! I don't think there was anything he couldn't sing. This one was another of his great love songs. Its just such a special voice thanks he had. A true gift that God gave us when he gave us Elvis!🙏

Hi John I love your sincere reactions to Elvis. This song, Thrill of Your Love was recorded 3/4 April 1960, the same session that produced It’s Now Or Never, Elvis’ smash hit. What’s even more remarkable Elvis recorded the master in one take, after a rehearsal and a short false start. Quite amazing given his absence from the recording studio while he was in the US army. The recording session took place in RCA Studio B in Nashville.

I always wondered what exactly what Elvis meant when he said gospel was part of the mix that created Rock and roll. In this song I finally realized it, and heard it, only a handful of years ago. In fact, if you changed several words of this song, it could become a gospel song. One of my favorite songs.

Hi John, Carole again, the French Canadian from Ottawa Canada...love your reaction to this song as there really are no words to describe it. I really thought that it was a Gospel song, which I love by ELVIS, but it was also a love song. He could sing anything at all...rock, soul, Gospel, Love songs and every other type there is. He is very hard to put into a "box" when it comes to his voice. No matter what anyone says, he was and still is the greatest. I have been waiting 61 years to hear someone who comes close....sorry.....not happening. When speaking of men, he not only had the voice of a KING but he had the looks to go with it. How many are out there with his vocal capabilities and the looks of a Greek God...I still have not seen anyone of that caliber. I always enjoy your Elvis reactions as they are full of insight and the gospel connection was something I never previously thought about, but you have a point and perhaps a soul connection. This song was part of an album 'Elvis Is Back' which was recorded in 1960 as soon as he came out of the army and using a voice, still able at this time to relate to the 1950's vocal sound, and covered ballads, blues, rock, and pop.

Thought I heard all of his songs but this one new to me.

elvis was a very religious man and I remain convinced that god chose him. An incredible voice coupled with an extraordinary physique... God put him on earth in 1935 but took him back far too quickly. It will be thousands of years before we find the same pearl on earth.

From 1960, after returning from the military service, Elvis started using at least two drummers, or one drummer and one at percussion instruments, and it made a new sound for him. I have heard norwegian groups trying to copy this music from the 60s with just one drummer - they had no idea why they couldn't copy the sound. But with Ernest Jorgensens book about the sessions, first edition in 1974, they saw that he had at least two on the rhythm section, type drums... Aha... That's why we can't copy it... :-D This recording is one of the many made in the first two sessions after returning from Germany and so on... Are You Lonesome Tonight, It's Now Or Never and others were also recorded during those sessions. Most of those came on singles... The album from the sessions is Elvis Is Back - one of Elvis very best! Some mean the best! Thrill Of Your Love was recorded April 4th, in RCAs Nashville studio...
