Foreigner is a great British-American rock band who started in 1976. They had a lot of great hits such as "Feels Like The First Time", "Cold As Ice", "Urgent", “Hot Blooded”, "Juke Box Hero", "Waiting For A Girl Like You", "Double Vision", "Blue Morning, Blue Day", "Dirty White Boy", "Head Games", "Break It Up", "That Was Yesterday", "Say You Will", "I Don't Want To Live Without You" etc.
My mother and father were married from 1962 until my mother passed away in 2018. My father is still alive at 87yo. This is a great song, lyrically and musically.
Lou Gramm the singer lived about 10 minutes from where I grew up. His band before this one Black Sheep played at my high school. I dont know him but he is great.I have been with my wife 37 years I would not change it.
It is slightly surprising because this was their ultimate single. An enormous smash in its time - and one that probably contributed to the break-up of the band. I suspect Lou Gramm will always be remembered as one of rock's great vocalists and here he goes out of his way to prove it.
Lou Gramm had an amazing voice and I love the addition of the New Jersey Mass choir in this song. Incredible song that really soars. I'm glad you revisited it!
They found a church under going renovations and rented it and invited members to join them as they recorded this song. They also bought in people to sing too.
Such a good album, and this song always sends me right back in time. It's friday and I'm watching Miami Vice before heading out to the club. Moody and full of atmosphere. Perfect for full moon drives with the windows down..
I remember when this song came out it was such a huge love song! I’ve been single now for 13yrs I have nobody to sing this song anymore! But I still love to listen to this song his voice and the choir it’s beautiful ❤
Lou Graham (lead singer) is retiring this year from touring. I go by his house frequently as he is a neighbor of my daughter. He used to play at my high school dances when he was the band Black Sheep.
Yes Foreigner is another top fav! Lou Gramn can belt it out. Wish i could have seen him in the band but instead I did get to witness their current singer Kelly Hanson perform . Feels like the first time & Dirty white boy have been my favs. Going back to my childhood genre, Mariah Carey was my go to in female artists growing up, she also did a cover of this hit in 2009 along with a video & she did an incredible job with it. Oh & I can not forget Foreigner also officially gets inducted into the rock n roll hall of fame this year!
My husband and I had our 35th anniversary on August 5th❣ We have 4 daughters and 2 granddaughters and music has been integral in our family. This was a wonderful reaction to a beautiful song☮💜
I've been watching your reactions to songs I think are great and you have reacted to some really good music. The way you break down what's going on in the production of the song your listening to is phenomenal, keep on rocking!!!
Listen to Dollys “Hello God” written after 9/11. Complete blow away, more proof she’s an incredible writer and singer. Watch the one with the full Gospel choir!
Glad to see this one pop up again. It's been making the rounds of the reactors lately, so, here we are again. Actually, whenever you want to move away from the radio hits, Foreigner is a great band to do that with. Their radio hits are good, but their first four albums were *solid* . An all-star at every position. Then they started shifting personnel, and you know how that goes. Very much enjoyed you enjoying this one! It's a shame you're shaking up your request situation, but I'm glad you're getting snowed under! Re: marriage, I've been a widow for 7 years, and yes, it was just like the song. I miss him every day. And I'm always on the lookout for anyone playing a PRS. Cheers!
So sorry for your loss and thanks for sharing! 🙏🏻 Yeah, I have to adapt the channel in order to continue doing it. Change is necessary sometimes to keep progressing! Appreciate all your support and have a great one! 😃
@@kimkathrein2463 Thanks so much! It’s so funny because before this channel I have heard some of these songs but they completely missed me! (Or I missed them!) This has been cool to sit down and analyze these beautiful tunes and also meet awesome people! The name is Steven and thanks for swinging by! 😄
I don't know how often I've been listening to "I want to know what love is" and other songs of Foreigner. It brings back some memories. You reacted to Meat Loaf a few times. If you consider to listen to some more try "For Crying out loud". Imho one of the best and most emotional love songs of all time. 🥰Of course written by Jim Steinman. 😄
