I love that the crowd was so noisy at the beginning he tells them they have to listen. By the end you could hear a pin drop, then loud applause. Truly a master at work!!
Absolutely, Valerie. There were 200,000 people in that crowd which makes it all the more mind-blowing. 'Anything you ask, I'll do for you' comes to mind.
Thank you, thank you! I think this is one of Freddie's most powerful yet vulnerable performances ever recorded. I could listen to Freddie sing this all day. I appreciate you reacting to it!!
Along with Love of my life Wembley 86 this has to be Freddie at his most beautiful and his most vulnerable with a live audience. People will be in tears over this for centuries as indeed I was.
So beautiful. Not easily did my mind and heart register what' this man gave us - what was happening to my senses - tears and comforts from deep inside.... all so very good. Quite a blessing.
Oh that was so beautiful. When Freddie asked the fans to listen you could hear a pin drop sent chills up my spine. Thank you another amazing performance from Queen. ❤
I'm English and it's the first time i've heard that song also. Freddy had a voice that touched the soul somehow. He's greatly missed. He loved opera too. He did a duet with the opera singer, Montserrat Cabelle. "How can I go on". You should check out the video. Amazing.
Voice of an angel. Time has only made his death all the more tragic, yet we are blessed to have been born in a time that enables us to experience such other worldly talent. My God it just sends chills down your spine. It's almost hard to listen to, it just hits you right in the soul.
They are actually amazing and their body of work is timeless. Freddie's voice is beyond beauty. Brian's guitar work is superb. Roger's drums are solid. John carries it with the bass. Still sounds fresh today. With a powerful voice and charismatic presence, stands out as the greatest frontman in Rock and Roll history. Once he stepped on the stage, the audience knew that they were a part of something special. Having over a four-octave vocal range coupled with a flamboyant personality, Mercury kept his concerts alive every second.
Freddie was indeed a great performer 🎶🎶fantastic singer and just all around a amazing 👍 this song is so beautiful 🎶 loved it ♥️ classic performance from Freddie a legend in the music world beautiful music 🎶🎶 thanks John 👍 awesome 👍 much ♥️ and godbless from uk 🇬🇧🎧🎶❤️🙏🎧🎹🎤🙏
Hello John!! Love your reaction!! Gorgeous Gorgeous!! The back story is that Freddie wrote this for his special someone! Invited them to the concert so he could sing it to them! OMG!! The world’s population wishes Freddie had sung this song to them. The studio version is filled with beautiful harmonies! Like Freddie said in this performance “it hadn’t been recorded yet …”.🌿💗🌿🌸🌿💗
I keep coming back to this reaction… one of the most beautiful love songs… and watching your reactions as you comprehend the lyrics… his love for Mary was immense!
A truely beautiful song creation of Freddie's. Such great vocal skills and beautiful lyrics. A noisy audience at the beginning and you could hear a pin drop at the end of the song. Truely captivating. Loved ❤️ it.
@Jonh Gibs...🌺😊🌺 Parabéns pelo maravilhoso vídeo! Eu amooo! Freddie Mercury! John Gibs, você tem muito bom gosto pra música. Eu amo muito seus videos, você é um querido meu aqui no Brasil 🇧🇷 Um garoto nota mil! Sucesso! Thank You! Bjs!🌺😊🌺👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
THANK YOU John, for another GREAT music reaction! I'm always excited when I see a new posting from you... Your genuine appreciation for what you're listening to, shows on your expressive face. I JUST WISH... that there were MUCH MUCH MORE video footage available of Freddie's piano playing... His musical contemporaries said that they had never seen anyone else play the piano in the same manner that he did, except for Liberace.
I'm anxious to listen to your new release, but you really must check out Queen at Live Aid 1985. I see you've reacted to a couple of the songs, but you don't get the full impact without watching one of the finest live concerts in history.
Tolles Video! Freddie hat hier einen Soloauftritt😍! Die Studioversion ist ebenfalls hörenswert! Ich würde mich sehr über ein Video von Liar - live 1974 freuen. Roger, Brian und auch John haben dort geniale Solos!
I have to disagree with you on this, imo as amazing as the harmonies are on the studio version, they detract from the pure emotion of the live version. I much prefer the Live over the studio on this one.
@@samloveslfc I agree with you. The touching lyrics and the beautiful music all performed by Freddie don't need more harmonies. This performance is simple and pure, in one word: stunning.
For me the live version has the passion and the focus...the studio version has all the vocal gymnastics - lovely but missing that live vibe, especially with the backstory connection. High drama that night!
