I honestly love Vessel driven songs like this and a few others on the album. Because they highlight just how much his voice is just another instrumental to this band. I dont think it needs anything other than what it has. Love it so much.
Must agree. The first time it came on when listening to this album, I actually skipped this song. But once I heard it couple of times, I decided that my decision to skip it the first time was a bit brash. The looping and layering so wonderful in this.
This one has been one of the biggest surprises for me in delving into Sleep Token This one vibes really different It's so like a groovy electronic dance bop but there's still something darker and moodier that is signature ST It's a strange mix of elements But I definitely dig it And wouldn't mind more of this kind of stuff from ST
This is one of their most talked about songs amongst musicians, trappy trippy but listen to the instrumental version too and you have a better understanding how impressive this song is from a musicianship point of view.
Idk if you went through the album in order, but this is actually the closest thing to a title track on this album. It is ironic that this song doesn't really feel like sinking until the very end, but that's kind of perfectly sleep token.
This song is my favorite so far from that album. All songs are great but this one is truly great. As you was saying through listening "it goes somewhere but it teas you..." that but is important. For me, this song is great a favorite so far because of that frustration that it goes somewhere but does not. As a song say, descending... I feel that in this song. You just descending step by step in apathy and can not do anything (although you would like to) just continue in descend - and that is frustrating. Truly great song.
