They teased us a couple times when it sounded like a speed-up was coming but they dialled it back. Miyako played 3 instruments in this one and Haruna got a well earned rest. Asami aced it.

the only ballad they do that actually stays a ballad all of the way through. empty daydream and edge of the world both start out similarly but kick into higher gears as you go along. hey they HAD to have one. just another masterpiece by our metal goddesses

I love Midori's ending solo_ culminates this masterpiece. Whole song is epic. Ladies are in their own League.

I haven't seen Lovebites many times, but when I saw them on their Clockwork Immortality tour (2 times)...they are the greatest heavy metal band around today in my opinion!

The covers of all releases of LOVEBITES (Albums, EPs, Single, DVDs/Blu-rays, etc.), except the first 'The Lovebites EP' (May 2017), depict a Wolf (or Wolves). The White Wolf is the mascot of LOVEBITES. The cover of the first Studio Album 'Awakening from Abyss' (October 2017) depicts the Goddess standing with the White Wolf on the ruins of a destroyed world and preparing to give birth to a new world. The idea of the Album cover belongs to Miho (bass, backing vocals, founder and leader of the band, 2016-2021). The white dresses in which the Ladies perform correspond to the LOVEBITES mascot - the White Wolf (Okami). In Japanese mythology, the Solar White Wolf (Okami) is a messenger of the Gods who helps people. Today Wolves are an extinct animals in Japan. I love this sooo much. Asami's vocals are just so beautiful. MIyako doing what she does best and that is make her guitar sing with such emotion that you can feel.

Lots of bands just thrash. The sign of true artistry is when you can dial it back and do something soulful like this. I love the sense of restrained power when they play this. Like sitting in a 1968 Pontiac GTO with 350 under the hood and the driver is only going 25.

My favourite individual performance by the band. Asami pours everything into her vocals. The ending only makes sense if you are familiar with the original album version. That fades on the harmonised solo which is a variation of the opening sequence of the album’s first track “Addicted”. Obviously they needed a suitable ending for the live version. This song has not been performed live since the DOTD tour.

The allusions to Gary Moore and Jimi Hendrix are obvious, imho. Legends of music, honored by *the queens* of Metal. What a moment in time, in (music) history. I feel so privileged to be able to experience this. One ought to acknowledge genius when one experiences it. 🐺💮DE/GER
