Day 2 resulted in more fish hitting the net! Things not going well for poor Leroy. Things are getting interesting in the Piss-pounder II (Frank/Leroy) boat.
A number of reasons. We have spent over 20 years fishing LOTW and have found out, at least for us, that the prime time isn't necessarily the last couple hours of daylight. We have caught most of our big fish mid day. My biggest fish was caught at 8 pm. A 53.5 incher. But back when we were younger we fished later with not the best results that we wanted. So we decided to fish mornings as early as we could get out, till evenings as long as we could last. All about the quality of a fishing trip. I value the time at camp with good friends just as much as catching a musky. If we fished sun up till sun down, we would literally be on the water from 6am till 10 pm up there. Leaving not much time showering, eating and unwinding. Do that for 7 days straight. Doesn't sound too fun. The older you get you learn to appreciate what is really important on these trips. Hopefully this all makes sense. Thanks for watching and good luck this year!!
