Muslim Girls Making Change I Spoken Word Performance 

Advocates & Poets, Kiran Waqar, Hawa Adam, Balkisa Omar & Lena Ginawi are a Vermont-based slam poetry group who share their experiences on how and why their creative expression and activism are intertwined, and discuss their mission to cultivate a space rooted in vulnerability and authenticity where young writers can speak their truths.
Since forming their group, these young women have competed at international levels, won numerous awards, performed widely, and help lead several local and national initiatives.
