I’ve been taught “Must be nice” is poor people mentally. And I don’t mean only financially poor. People who want to grow; whether financially, mentally, physically, spiritually, etc. dump the “must be nice” mentality. There is no growth in that mindset. Great show. I love watching it. 👏🏼
John’s way of handling stuff is 100% what I would want in a man. I really admire people who would rather get a little to involved rather than let stuff slide.
So good! Can't carry all of our past hurts around and let others trigger us- then dump our feelings out on them! We get to give it to Jesus and let him carry it all for us ❤️ we are so blessed to have that ability!🙌
I loved Derrick at the show, so very cool hearing him on the podcast. Also, yay better lighting! 👏🏻 I think it’s great you’re proactive. I hate confrontation, so am never that person, but am thankful for people in my life who are!
I wonder if John only called police because threat level awareness was up given kids were present. Most guys would ignore if on there own, but presence of women or kids raises impetus to act
This is one of the only podcasts that I could listen to the entire thing... and didnt want it to be over Great story telling Great conversations Great thoughts Good people 💎
1) I’d call the police on a naked person. Whether they need helped or need arrested it needs addressed. 2) I assess my risk factors before saying things but would definitely be frustrated by loud music and vehicle. 3) I try to help and/or stand up but I also have horrible anxiety so my response is dependent on the day and situation. I would hope I’d help the blind man but I also KNOW I’d spend a good bit of time worried I’d handle it the wrong way and offend the man trying to help where I’m not needed. Usually I’d ask if he needed help while feeling like I’m having a heart attack from anxiety. 4) Having sever allergies I get upset when comics go to far with it. When you have had everyone from family to strangers feed you allergens on purpose to “prove your lying,” it’s hard to laugh at. I am well aware that people cut dairy, gluten, etc. for reasons not related to health, but it’s a subject that is hard to laugh at when your life depends on people taking you serious. I personally can no longer eat anything I don’t make, but many people are eating hoping everyone takes it seriously so they don’t get sick/die. 5) They not to long ago made it legal to pull people over solely on lack of seatbelts. It is very much a thing. My friend literally started wearing her’s due to how many times she got a $200 + seatbelt ticket.
How about if you need a charge on your Tesla don’t accept the ride!! Then he played the victim and attacked you!! This happens a lot in todays society..
So the moral of this podcast is that John is a true “Karen” at heart. 😂. I’m from San Francisco so the scenarios that you describe, I see multiple times a day. One lady would greet me every morning (as I came out of the train station), bent over, taking a dump.
I still have subs, but they definitely were huge in high school, and in southside tn everyone has loud trucks, great show as always… my father in law got 7 seatbelt tickets last year, you probably haven’t heard about seatbelt tickets because you don’t drive
I started watching and was just listening at first. I had to check who your guest was because he sounds like Nate Bargatze (may have spelled that wrong)
About the motorcycle guy...it would very much annoy me. I would like to say something but wouldn't have the boldness to do it. You mentioned that people don't know what it takes to get where you are...well people don't know what it takes to stay where you are. I've seen your schedule. You are constantly traveling. That gets old fast. I give you a lot of credit for the effort you put into bringing laughter into this world. BTW: Your podcasts are getting better each week. Keep up the good work!!
i totally agree and having to constantly be watching everything u say and do because it will be criticized all over the internet, I personally don't think I would be cut out for that type of life, props to John on his career move, and doing great at it 👏👏👏
Yeah John yelling @ motorcycle guy was a bit Karen. My neighbors are always in their garage & if someone drives down the street faster than they’re comfortable with they’ll whistle or yell… one of them threw a beer can & it happened to be a teenager who stopped, got out of his car & was gonna get into it w/ a bunch of big middle aged veterans. It was a whole thing.
Dude, I was at the Toledo Funny Bone. I would have driven you to the airport. Just let me finish that level on Simpson arcade. Marge just powered up with that vacuum cleaner
As someone who has pretty severe food allergies (the throat swelling from one bite kind!), I love jokes about how everyone and their dog now has food allergies. They just make life more awkward for those of us with actual allergies who are just trying to go about our business. And why they gotta be telling people about their dietary restrictions all the time? What a weird fad! 😝
When I was 19 (back in 1994) I dated a bronc rider who had horses and drove a stick-shift Chevy with a modified muffler. It was LOUD and he would tear down main street every time we drove into town.
The Guess Who and virtual reality videos were so hilarious to me. And I definitely understood what you were trying to say in those videos. Honestly, sometimes I feel more convicted by your comedy/videos than I do from church/sermons. In that way I understand what Joel was saying for sure.
Haters are going to hate regardless of what you do. It’s the sole reason I no longer have social media of any kind. Silence them out and just do your thing
@@glamgal28 No, I don't think he did. I came back here to delete my comment because I thought it might be rude 😅 but I'll let it stand. It was a joke, though often people don't realize I'm joking.
I could not stop laughing, out loud, about the blind man and non english speaking man. 🤣 I can't stop... things like this totally happen in my life too. Love it!
The 3rd eye shirt makes me weary of John to say the least. No Christian should have ANY association with new age, or any other form of heresy. Certainly not one so blatent.
