I have been flyying $ 150 drone for a year... fly it up 400 feet never stuck in in a tree and i fly in the woods.... i use the edge of lake to land on. I plan to upgrade this summer. I used to fly RC air craft... drones are easy if you use your head.
Had mine less than a week. Two decent sessions with 3 batteries. Never flown a drone before and been flying a few feet from trees today to get some pics. So easy to operate, only a complete dickhead would end up with it stuck in a tree!!!
For anyone in the market for a strobe, I would highly recommend a Firehouse Technology Arc V. I have tried the Ulanzi and I prefer a Arc 2 or an Arc 5 over it. I use 4 of them on my air 2 (a white on the back and top, a green on the right, and a red on the left) and I have never had anything go wrong with them. Also I would recommend 3M dual lock to attach any light (you don’t need much because it becomes almost impossible to take off if you put it on the entire back of the light). Hope this helps someone (I’m not endorsed or anything I just really like their products over others that I’ve tried)
Another accessory that I highly recommend are landing gear for the water. I have this accessory on my Mini 2 and it is amazing. I can take off and land from the lake near us. If you live near a lake/ocean, I highly recommend it.
Very good guide to accessories. I got a Mini 2 a couple of weeks ago and am having a good time with it. Still on a learning curve using the settings, but all good so far and have got at least 1 reasonably decent video so far.
Not sure how it works elsewhere, but here in Europe, adding anything more than 1 grams to the Mini will push it into the C1 category (just as you mentioned). And then you will need to follow the significantly more strict A3 flight rules, i e 150 meters lateral distance from people, animals, buildings and structures. It pretty much rules out flying over anything but your own property.
Great video. Already purchased square folding landing pad for my overseas holiday when that comes. Looking at getting the filters soon, and also the sun hood. Thanks for the reviews of these products, helped me make informed decisions.
Perfect you're the best presenter I have seen on RU-vid.. you are a fantastic at doing what you do and I wish you continued success moving forward. My message was pretty horrific between having a TBI and using Siri to type I’m surprised you could read what I wrote? I just look and sound stupid I’m really not…..ha
Have you tried the folding sled for landing gear on the Mini 2? Wondered about your thoughts on this. Don't think the band that goes around the quad will fit the folding sled. It may go around the extension set.
The only two accessories you really need are: 1) Apple iPad mini 2) FPVtosky foldable table holder Both still fit in the bag. Anything is clutter and doesn't transport well. The filters are okay if you are going to use them and they also fit in the outside pocket. I've purchased many accessories and they sit in a drawer.
Hey I'm getting a mini for the holidays and have heard filters are really good. But I don't have a lot too spend and freewells are $20 bucks a pop, any cheaper brands?
nice video as always i just wished dji concentrated on 360 obstacle sensers then went with mini 2 pro 4k plus can you do a video on compatible phones for both mini's since i have the mavic mini,
Is there really any benefit to using landing pad when launching and landing in hand is as easy as it goes with mini/2? It literally took me one try to get a feel of it.
Excellent mavic mini and mini 2 accessories loving it so much highly appreciated for sharing wonderful accessories and these really helpful for me 😎 thumbs up 👍
Can you get a handle to make it easier to catch on a moving boat? I have seen them on mavic models. They wrap around the body and hang below. Thanks David
Hey mate great vid thankyou just picked up my mini 2 and i cant find any info on wether or not the mini 2 will work with a crystal sky display from dji was hoping if you could shed any light on this thanks again
Thanks for the video. I did just buy one on Black Friday from Costco. I won’t be trying to use it for a couple months, but I’m excited about having it for my channel.
Good video, but anyone thinking of getting a Mini 2, the only must haves are the drone with battery, controller, and phone/tablet the DJI Fly App can be installed on. These things are the opposite of must have... they're things ya might want!
I do prefer the sled style, however on the Mavic mini the clips on a little too tightly it’s very difficult to get off without pulling the bottom plate off the mini and possibly damaging it. The one for the Mavic air Comes off easily
Hi, I have been going crazy trying to find an excellent tablet mount for my Mavic Air 2 and Mini 2 drones to be used with the Samsung Tab S7. The DJI RC-N1 Remote Controller Tablet Holder seems to be an excellent solution. I ordered one, thank you for the heads up. Does that tablet mounting have a facility to attach a lanyard?
Is it possible to attach strobe light to the bottom of Mavic mini and hand launch/land it?. I dont mind if it's visible from aircraft in the night, but I want to see drone myself against the sky or trees at longer distance.
Hi. I bought this DJI mini 2, and have GREEN SCREEN after 2nd flight. Yesterday bought it make update, and did 1st flight(all perfect).. And 2nd flight(today) on half way it went green screen. Any help or idea what it could be, is it broken?
@@reazs Ive just bought the Tripltex 8 inch screen/phone Tablet for my mini 2 £650 love it already its so sharp and you can see so much more than you can on your phone, water proof to 1.3 meters for 30 minutes if you just use it for the drones ( I have the Mavic pro 2 as well. it lasts for 3 days, but I use it to watch movies and editing my drone footage.
Just a question: is correct you can download videos via wifi (like GoPro app) from the mini 2 (it has a dedicated button) to your iPhone or iPad, but from the Mini 1 you need an SD adapter because it's very long saving files via wifi?
does the dji mini 2 still fit into the Fly More Combo bag with the foldable landing gear ? \on Amazon ad they say it wont fit into the FMC case after installing: Attention: Drone will not fit in the Fly More Combo case after installed, ONLY FIT IN PGYTECH CASE)
I never had need for landing pad or landing gear - it's just waste of money! I simply practice hand landing and take off. Here are some instructions: Beginner: - take off - put the drone on your palm (dont grab it) and make sure nothing is in the way of the propellers, then with the other hand press the take off button on the app. - landing - get the drone over your you, then push the left joystick down and put your palm under the drone. the drone will jump one time thinking there's obstacle it must avoid but holding the joystick down will make it land safely on your hand Advanced: - take off - hold the drone with one hand away from you. start the motors by pushing the two joysticks in (left one to right and right one to left) and down, then throw it up in the air and it will stay there. - landing - bring the drone close to you, then grab it and flip it upside down - this will instantiate emergency motor stop
Agreed I had launching in hand catching is a good alternative. I think you do have to remember however not everybody feels comfortable doing it and not everybody is capable of doing it in those cases other alternatives work well
The landing gear I think is a waste of money. I’ve had my drone for a year. Just launch it from your hand, catch it, or just set it on top of something with a flat surface
Don't forget that any accessories you attach to your drone can put you over the 250g flight weight limit and in Canada will cost you $5000 if questioned by TC. Specially the mavic mini which is right at 249g where as the mini 2 is 242-245g.
Hi, firstly fantastic content, awesome videos Just watched the accessories video, and you said you edit all your content on your iPad Pro, I have an iPad Pro too, so can I ask what editing software you use ? Thanks
Just to let you know the front landing gear for the Mavic Mini doesn't fit properly on the Mini 2, but if you switch them outwards it seems to work a little better
@@AirPhotography NP i thought its important to mentioned that for your viewers to no everyone thinks the Mavic mini and mini 2 are exactly the same and there not ,that being said every other accessories do fit the mini 2 as far as i no
Some accessories will put it over 250 g so if that is an issue and that is something to consider. Other people the wait is not an issue. But the mini two was actually only 237 g or something like that so there is a little bit of room and I do believe his filters will not put it over
