FINALLY someone doing makeup on real skin 👏 I have acne prone skin and every makeup tutorial is done by someone with zero pores; this is so much more helpful and relatable!
I sympathize with you. I am also part of the oily girl group! I have struggled with acne since my teens. I am almost 40 and still get some breakouts once in a while. It took me years to get my skin to look healthy but I am so happy with it right now. This is a long comment but I always feel compelled to help those who are struggling with acne. I know you will heal your skin. You will show it off even more! I know you have read it in here but definitely take a double look into some of these make up products as they might be clogging your pores. Many of them have parabens, sulfates and even fragrance which is awful for our skin type. Slowly do away with them, swap into a CC cream or even a tinted sunscreen (I use elta MD tinted sunscreen) it is definitely not heavy coverage it is very light but not clogging of pores. I do use the Nars concealer, look into the Buxom staycation vibes primer infused bronzer (color rooftop) and Buxom wanderlust primer infused blush (color Mykonos). All of these mentioned will create this exact bronzy natural look you just did. It is what I use when I do make up and my skin has loved all of these products. Invest on an LED mask with blue light (to kill bacteria) and red light (to built collagen). This has been a game changer for me. I am also on tretinoid (really good for acne) and I swear by a honey mask as well. Look into the benefits of honey. You will be amazed at what it can do to your face. Just the darkest most organic honey you can find, put it in your face and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes and wash away. Honey is full of antibacterial properties that kill the bacteria in our face. I learned about this when I went to a natural facialist who definitely helped to heal my skin. Best wishes in your healing journey. I love your channel and everything you share here.❤️
I’m so beyond ready to have clear skin and not feel the need for foundation especially in the summer. Thank you for your authenticity and showing what you use for acne and your journey
Gorgeous makeup. A lot of the ingredients in these products are hormone disrupters so it might be worth looking even further into them. Between the added fragrance and all the preservatives, clogging or not, they are still affecting your overall skin health, not to mention your hormonal health.
you're beautiful! I have been in the same situation. I've struggled with acne for YEARS! I went on accutane twice!! and it came back both times. I do the same thing and check all my products :) My skin still isn't perfect. It truly is a process...
Try with hypnotherapy. I healed so many health issues with RTT therapy as sinusitis, migraines, allergies, asthma... I guess it could help with acne too ❤️
I've been using NYC Skin Clinic to check for ingredients too -- I use Armani foundation, Hourglass concealer, Merit bronzer, & Kosas powder! Laneige is the only sunscreen I've found that I like.
Highly recommend trying Dermablend foundation/concealer for face makeup! They are literally created by dermatologists and all of their products heal acne v. cause more breakouts. Non oily, watery and super clean ingredients. Definitely think ingredient by ingredient, better for acne than an Armani! They have the nicest salespeople at Ulta too :)
Hey Sami Clarke! The 2 bronzers that are safe to use for acne prone skin are the Hourglass bronzers and the Jacklyn Cosmetics sunbathe bronzers, also from the drugstore Flower Beauty heatwave bronzers and Wet n Wild color icon bronzers are safe to use, for powder blushes the Bareminerals blonzers and their blushes in general are safe,oh and the rare beauty liquid blushes too.
Your skin is beautiful!!! I had horrible hormonal acne, with scarring. Have you ever tried clyndamycin and tretinoin? That combo saveddddd me it was the only thing that worked. I have EXTREMELY oily skin too! After 6 weeks my skin was like brand new. Also used the P50 1970 toner every other day!❤
Ty for sharing. The rare beauty bronzing stick def breaks me out, but it might be the color i use: good energy, or it might be the fact its a stick product (with stiff, waxy ingredients). Idk. Its a great product otherwise.
Have you tried zinc tablets? Several people who have had good results after taking vitamin supplements of zinc. Acne is often a sign of zinc deficiency. sending a big hug❤
I have had acne for years, but what really helped me was Differin (adapalen) and azelaic acid. Might be a silly suggestion, since you probably have already tried topical products. Worked so well for me though! Hope you will see improvements with the laser treatment 🤍
Sami dear, have you tried cutting sugar completely? And by sugar I mean ALL sugar and natural sugar substitutes, even fruit (you can have berries). Clean skin = no sugar, no dairy, no gluten! Try it!
@@mohenarao1514 You do add fruit back gradually after the healing, but no other sugars. I do live like that for years now and anything that isn't just whole fruit becomes too sweet and not attractive after a while, you will see!
Do you find the tan luxe lotion has a self tanner smell? I hate the tanning process too but I can deal with it for 1 night but I’m hesitant to try the daily self tan lotions bc I feel I’ll smell like self tanner all the time which I can’t stand.
Acne was my problem for 10-13 years! I changed all my makeup and I only use mineral makeup ( Bare minerals). Took me about 2 years but worth it, now no more acne. Talc and silicone are no good for my skin.
I just had my second Aviclear laser session and the cool thing there is zero downtime. I was pink for about 20 mins after and then I was back to normal. Your skin can purge a bit which doesn’t last long at all. Also, I kind of noticed I wasn’t as oily at all so I kind of had to change my skincare routine a tad bit. But overall, I am so happy with my results so far. You don’t really see results until after your second and then it’s supposed to get better after your last one.
Did you spirnolactone worked for you? I ended up getting my hormones checked too because of your story. I was on acutane and my acne came back too! My derm just prescribed me spirnolactone
didnt work for me at all and gave me severe headaches. Accutane (when I was like 14, i'm almost 25 now) worked for me when I was young. After birth control (helped my skin kinda, but not 100%), and changing diet.. my skins just normal now (not perfect, just normal) and I deal with slight hyperpigmentation. The acne is minimal/ gone now. I know you didn't ask but figured I'd share lol
Have you tired to drink your water only with electrolytes? I use ultima. Remember water just flushed out the body and with electrolytes you truly hydrated
Hi Sami, Love your channel! For a better skin, I fully recommend Cassandra Bankson channel for the clear skin, especially the oily one. She has helped me a lot, when it comes to clearing the skin and finding what the issue was.
Have you checked your gut microbiome aswelll? It’s linked to hormones I’m struggling with hormonal acne too and got it checked, now I’m taking supplements for my gut bacteria while also taking medication for my hormones
Why don't you get checked on your gut microbiome? Acne is not always only caused by the hormonal imbalance. It is actually mostly a gut issue, and it doesn't have to heal by taking probiotics.
Place your faith on Jesus. Jesus died so that you can have everlasting life. Jesus is the way the truth and the life. No one gets to the Father but by him. Trust Jesus. Repent. Have a good day.
Sami..I have hormonal acne and my dermatologist prescribed Winlevi Cream. It has been working beautifully.
