All I know is when I get my torsades question on the ccrn, I’m choosing GIV MAG 1-2G NOW 😂

Hahaha there is no way anyone is getting any torsades questions wrong after listening to all my videos 🤣

These are the best videos I’ve found on the CCRN! I’m returning to critical care nursing after being retired for 8 years and these explanations are giving me total recall! Also a good way to ensure passing the CCRN is to make sure you read over the moral/ethics/professionalism points as they are 20% of the exam. It’s the easiest part to ACE on the exam and may save you from failing or doing poorly in other sections.

Welcome back to critical care :) I totally agree about the ethics section; I will be releasing an ethics review in just a little bit. Thank you for your thoughtful comment!

Can you please explain question #11? your note says maintenance phase is the one platelet dysfunction.

I feel for the first question that restarting the IV drip to another location would be the first priority to both stop the leeching of the vasopressor into the tissue and to preserve hemodynamic stability, not necessarily in the same way it is worded here though.

I agree with you! Our first priority would certainly be to maintain hemodynamic stability by keeping the pressor going but we probably wouldn't want to do so in a smaller gauge catheter (Choice C-). Hopefully you'd have a buddy there helping you do so. When it comes to minimizing the extravasation, choice D would be the best answer of the remaining three.

Besides everything being reviewed in these videos, there were random questions about basic physical assessment and priority interventions. Very similar to the Barron's book questions. Question 1 and the bonus question in this video were on it 😭

question # 2 I feel is incorrect I think is Atropine..
@NurseLifeAcademy
@NurseLifeAcademy 8 месяцев назад
While you can use atropine to treat bradycardia, this patient's symptoms are a result of beta blocker toxicity, where glucagon IV would be the drug of choice.
