I appreciate your videos so much! You’re the only one representing us short torso girls out here and I love that because the struggle is REAL for us! So many styles that look so good but aren’t made for our body types. I’ve always liked skirts but always wondered why they never looked right on me, until I discovered I was short torso’d. Can you do a video on pants?? Not jeans but pants. That’s another I feel we struggle with. Again, thanks for your videos girl!

I also wanted to mention the concept of low vamp vs high vamp shoes (not sure if you have covered it yet) but at 7:46 you can see you're wearing high vamp shoes on the left which cut off your legs and create the illusion of equal proportions between legs and torso. On the right you're wearing low vamp shoes which leave your legs unbroken and accentuate your long legs which in turn pulls visual emphasis to your torso being shorter than your legs. Just an observation I thought I'd share, I'd always wondered why I gravitated toward boots or high-top converse rather than low-top shoes. I also have a short torso and long legs so I hope this comment came across respectfully enough! Low vamp = flats, slingback heels, pumps, thigh high boots High vamp = sneakers, boots, strappy shoes, chunky heels

One of the best places I’ve found to get mid to low rise jeans are resale shops like Goodwill and Savers. Also, they’re really worn in, soft, and cheap! Thanks for the video!

I recognise so much what you tell without realising is about having a small torso, which I have! I focused to much about horizontal lines to find solutions. My priority will now be the vertical lines!

Thank you for these videos ! Very useful . Something I noticed as a short waisted person is that short hair ( above the shoulder ) or off the face in a ponytail etc lengthens my torso because hair does not take up space there ! As I have wide hips , I saw also that either the skirts must be elastic or very flowy or with a slit otherwise they hand down very wide from the hip down . To tuck in I found bodices work best to get a streamlined effect with something that is mid rise ( on me ). If I want to really cinch my waist I need to make sure it is in a more monochrome look !

Omg I was just talking about the mini skirt length thing to someone today! They’re always too short on me even though I’m only 5,5”. My legs are just really long so if I wear the skirt at my natural waist it’s too short and my butt will be hanging out. I have to buy mini skirts in tall sizing if it’s offered. I also realized overtime a strategically placed side split works wonders, it adds dimension so I don’t look like a blob. This video confirms I’m not crazy 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you so much for this. I’m 5ft 2.5” tall with very long legs, so I thought that a maxi skirt with high heels would look good on me, but how wrong I was! 🥴 The proportions are terrible. 😆 it looks like I’m only legs and nothing else. So thank you for the tip on colour blocking or breaking up that long line of colour. And yep like you I pull EVERYTHING down or just buy low waisted skirts and trousers. it definitely helps to create more of a defined waist 😊 and that’s a plus.

Just a comment about "shimmying" down skirts. I have literally never been able to do this. The minute I sit down the waist of the skirt is back under my bust and whenever I stand back up I have to seriously adjust my clothes. I would be adjusting and fiddling with my clothes literally all day, every day trying to maintain that. Maybe that works for women with skinny hips, but certainly not me. I am infertile, but have maternal hips, not adolescent boy hips. I also can't wear sweatshirts, the minute I sit down, they roll/fold up under my bust and I have to adjust them back down too, so I only wear them at home where no one cares.
