Getting caught up on my RU-vid watching after a week in Oshkosh. You both did a great job with that interview! So glad you got to snag some time with Jack.
Excellent episode Dan and Baylee. That was a great interview with Jack. He hit the nail on the head with culture having so much to do with quality. Thank you both for another great video. I hope you have a great time at AirVenture. Keep up the excellent work. Safe skies my friends 🇺🇸🛩️
The Poberenzy's are gone, and so is the EAA's main focus on homebuilts. Pelton for instance, comes from the production aircraft companies. Now they focus on production aircraft, military, airshows. ultralights, and have turned their back on homebuilts in many ways. Many of these other focuses would be better suited to the AOPA fly-in. Until they find their roots, and get back to what brought them to where they are now, which is homebuilts, I'll stay away from Oshkosh. I do appreciate the political reforms they've worked on.
Excellent interview and information! Jack Pelton may have been the original model for Tom Peters’ philosophy of MBWA - Management By Wandering Around - communicate; be on the floor talking with your people; see first hand how things are going; have an open door.
Yes ! I never heard of Baley. Did Cristy bail out? They wanted Christi to do a parachute jump in the past as I recall and she was not enthused to say the least. That was at OSH last year.
Christy arrived last night-- she had to work at Envoy flying people. She'll be on a bunch of the videos coming up. Baylee has been on our team but only on when she can (she just completed her freshman year at University).
"When the president signed it"? Are you afraid to say the presidents name who signed it? If it's such a big deal to and for you, can't you give credit where credit is due?
"Credit" is due him for a lot of things, 99% negative. Including DEI of the Secret Service and ATC, the border INVASION, the Afghanistan debacle, the politicizing of the DOJ, paying off student debt to buy votes. Etc......
