MUST SEE! Chasing Nuclear Waste Trains on the Former Pan Am Railways Portsmouth Branch & District 2! 

After hearing about a possible nuclear waste train running up and down the Portsmouth Branch, I made the drive up to New Hampshire to try and chase this very rare consist. I first caught up with the DO-1 local in Kittery, ME, bringing up an empty nuclear cask car towards the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard. Then, after watching the pair of ex Pan Am GP40-2LWs running into the base, I chased the train bringing back 2 loaded nuclear waste cars back across the border into New Hampshire. After switching out the Geeps for a YN2 CSX AC44, the consist took on the moniker CSX S955 and set off soqn the Portsmouth Branch and on to the Former Pan Am District 2. I chased this consist down the Branch and onto the main into Massachusetts. Also included towards the end of the video are a few clips of another DO-1 in September 2023 bringing the same DODX caboose and depressed flat cars to Portsmouth that were used for the S955 in February.
