Wow, kudos to you Mina, I'm Japanese and vegan but it's really hard finding Japanese foods without the use of fish (bonito), egg, or dairy products often used in their cooking. I made the tofu pesto sandwich for lunch last week (some days I used tofu, others I used tofurkey, and I made it open-faced) and it was really good! Helped me get enough protein too.

I went for a study abroad semester in Paris for 6 months and it was wonderful, I had heard a lot about it as well so I went in w 0 experience and was charmed. I took all French classes there as French was one of my majors, and had the best food experiences. I wrote a small research paper on how globalization has impacted French cuisine in Paris and found so many gems as a part of my study; I highly recommend a book called “my sweet life in Paris” by David lebovitz

Thank you for these. I love glass noodle salads - and I love that you can 'vary' the ingredients. I am new vegan but "slowly" I am encouraging my partner to eat more 'plant-based' type of dishes to his regular "potatoes & meat" diet. He does like Asian-influenced dishes I make, so I'm happy he's eating more veggies more and more. He will never be vegan but he is open to more plant-based stuff and can see it has helped in him feeling better in making healthy eating choices.

it's great for baking and cooking since it's just sweet and doesn't have much a flavour itself. So for pancakes I would recommend Maple or Date Syrup much more :)
Yum. Am gonna try these recipes! I am GF and Soy-Free, tho. So my subs: PUMFU vs Tofu (Pumfu is a pumpkin seed based tofu, at healthfood stores). Coconut Aminos vs Soy Sauce Polenta, Chickpeas, Portobellos, PUMFU vs Tempeh. Btw, Mina: PLEASE do a review and recipe vid using PUMFU, sometime! (and Coconut Aminos). Also do some GF Soy/Nut-Free, high protein vids, too!
